Lovely exterior which caught our attention, just had to sneak in for a quick pint!
Nice inside too, although a small bar there are lots of things hanging from the ceiling, off the walls and all around, beer nostalgia, sports memorabilia and all the like.
Sat at the bar and ordered a nice cold Rockshore lager, served with a smile by the friendly bar man who was chatty and welcoming.
Horse racing on the box, bookies near by, pub wasn't so busy, enjoyed the pint.
Nice bar, well worth returning when next time in Oldcastle.

The Dublin Bar is a nice place to grab a pint in the Oldcastle town square. The bar is filled with all kinds of interesting things hanging from the ceiling - road signs, teakettles, lots of conversation starters. The owner is friendly and quick with a joke! It's a good place to drop in when you're in Oldcastle.
