Lovely impromptu visit

We went on the spur of the moment, having not visited for a few years. My husband uses a mobility scooter and there is easy flat access for him. We also took our dog on a lead. A lovely relaxing hour, wandering up and down the paths saying hello to the horses and donkeys and reading their stories. There was a mix of couples and families and not too crowded.
We didn’t use the cafe, but have done in the past and it’s reasonable value. There is a shop, where you can also make a donation or adopt a horse. Admission is free, so if money is tight, it’s a great few hours out.

A lovely day out

My husband and I spent a lovely few hours here. Lots of the horses were very friendly and came over to the fences to greet visitors. The cafe was excellent.

Great day out

We had a lovely visit here - I had 'adopted' the lovely Rumpel for my horse mad niece as a Christmas present so we came to visit! Lovely to see him and all of the other lovely ponies/horses/donkeys thriving there. A great idea for a Birthday or Christmas gift! Great apple crumble cake as well!

Fabulous day out

Excellent trip today. The whole place was clean and the horses and donkeys seemed so happy and content which must be challenging after some of the mistreatment they received previously. Staff friendly and lunch in the cafe was good and inexpensive.

Beautiful horses and donkeys

We visited while staying near by, we have been here before with some of our grandchildren, it is being re built in places over the winter months so only about 50 horses there at the moment.
We had a nice walk in the autumn sunshine looking at some of the horses and donkeys that are there reading some of their stories brings tears to your eyes.
Nice little shop to look around and you can sponcer a horse for a year. Lots of free parking. We will return next year when we will be staying in the area again

Fab place to visit!

What an amazing place and just a short drive from Stratford upon Avon town centre. Saw this advertised in a magazine so decided to pay a visit. It’s free admission, however any donations are gratefully received and help towards the costs of looking after the animals.

The staff that work here are very knowledgeable and friendly and are happy to answer questions and tell you a bit about the animals. There are also information boards dotted around that tell you about each animal.

There is a lovely little cafe where you can get hot drinks and delicious cakes - well worth a visit. Also, there is a little shop where you can purchase gifts and other things.

It is clear to see that the animals are well looked after and it is clean and modern with lovely scenic views.

Thank you Redwings, we had a fab time and will definitely visit again!

Great visit

If you love animals then visit Redwings, the staff are great, very friendly, it is a well worth cause to support animals especially those that have been poorly treated. A shame this happens to such innocent creatures but nice to know there are places like Redwings to support and nurse them back to good health. My first trip here was about 10 years ago as I do not live in the area. Was in the area visiting a friend who loves horses and took her their for a visit, the horses and donkeys have been with me ever since. I have tried to support when I can since my visit and am on their mailing list. I was in the area again with my daughter and could not leave without a visit, they have really expanded to accommodate their residence, still doing great work. would recommend a visit as well as a visit to the café for a lovely coffee and locally made cake, (they kindly let me have hot chocolate), we then enjoyed the gift shop, purchasing some items to support this great cause. Thank you Redwings.

A Happy Place

Took my partner and her mother to see the horses and donkeys, as part of a day out. We were disappointed that due to the weather the donkeys had been kept in their yard. I asked a member of staff when they were likely to be let out. Without hesitation she took us in to the yard to see them at close quarters. Sharon you are a star and made both their days. Thank you.

That's lovely to hear MidlandsToffee_man! Due to the needs of some of our animals, the weather can unfortunately play a role in where they are kept for the day, especially the donkeys who are a little more sensitive than others. Our staff, however, will always do their best to make sure visitors get to see the residents they'd love to meet the most and we're so pleased they were able to do this for you. We hope you'll be able to visit us again x
