Vista solo esternamente, merita comunque una sosta per scattare qualche foto. Pagando l'ingresso si può salire in cima per il panorama.

Found this by chance! Proved to be well worth a visit for both the great view from the top and also for the really friendly and helpful guides who were keen to share the fascinating history of the column.
Go inside the shop / museum area to see the original grand Napoleon statue, complete with its extensive war damage, that used to be at the top!
But be warned, it's a lot of steps and the mainly windowless circular stairway gets quite narrow near the top of the column, so not recommended for anyone who doesn't like confined spaces.

Nos hubiera gustado subir a lo alto de la "Columna" pero no pudimos al llegar bastante tarde, aun asi, lo que vimos nos gusto. Unos jardines inmensos, en un espacio igualmente enorme, con unas vistas expectaculares, y la Columna de la Gran Armada dominando todo.
Una visita programada, que solo la falta de tiempo hizo que no fuera completa, pero si fue totalmente satisfactoria.

Un grand merci à Omar et Fred (ils se reconnaîtront) pour la super visite de samedi après-midi ! Guide passionné et passionnant. Nous étions avec 2 petits-enfants qui également ont appris beaucoup de choses, dont ils se souviendront.

Mention spéciale au gardien disponible et serviable. Ouverture sur réservation avec le Covid, c’est efficace. Le panorama est incroyable et on se fait les mollets avec toutes ces marches à grimper ! A recommander aux familles curieuses de savoir pourquoi Napoleon tourne le dos à l’Angleterre !

Nous avons tout d'abord été très bien accueillis, après avoir appelé pour réserver (covid). Le gardien / employé du site est très agréable, très sympa. Ensuite nous avons monté les 300 marches avec notre fille de 5 ans, une ascension finalement moins difficile que ce que nous pensions. Le panorama en haut de la tour vaut le coup d'œil ! A refaire.

Bonsoir un lieu sublime sublimé que nous avons visité avec un immense plaisir, cette colonne de la grande armée se trouve être aussi intéressante de l'extérieur qu'à l'extérieur.

Attention avec le COVID, le jardin semble fermé. I n’en est rien! Le gardien filtre les entrées ( masque obligatoire) .
On peut faire un tour dans le jardin et admirer les bas reliefs.
Mais l’intérêt, c’est de monter en haut sur la plate forme ( bien ventée le jour de notre visite). La vue y est magnifique
Bon, il y a 300 marches d’un escalier en colimaçon...

Je viens de me rendre au monument, profitant du beau temps sur la côte d'opale, la grille est fermée pourtant la visite est normalement ouverte..???
Le téléphone ne répond pas, il y a pourtant une voiture dans la cour.
Il y a quelques années j'y suis déjà venu, le gardien, visiblement ivre, m'a interdit la visite.
Dommage pour le tourisme boulonnais et un peu scandaleux quand même!

Really interesting little stop off visit to see a monument built in homage to Napoleon.Good museum to support too with small shop.Friendly staff. You can go up the column but not sure if this is only at special times as.it was.closed when we went at 3.00 pm. Thank you.
