Wow! Another absolutely amazing week at OSKC. Dympna and James are the ultimate hosts and the expert coaching and guidance provided by Greg and Ray just took the week to another level. I don't know why people settle for 5 star when you can have all the stars! Definitely recommended and will surely return. They never fail to impress. Cheers!

James and Dympna are amazing hosts and great kayak instructors. Anyone looking to learn how to kayak or to be more confident on the water should definitely reach out to OSKC.

James and Dympna are great instructors and hosts with many skills to share!
Having taken my Level 1 and a few trips, I have always felt safe and had wonderful experiences! All their staff/instructors are efficient and very skilled.
On catered trips, the cooking/food they provide is always delicious and nothing beats sitting on a rock watching the sun set over Georgian Bay.
Accomodation is also excellent; hidden away, all amenities clean and well kept and looked after.

I recently took my Sea Kayaking Skills Level 1 course with James at OSKC and could not have asked for better.
We had a small group, which was nice since you had lots of one on one. James is the real deal; he's extremely knowledgeable, very interesting, and has a great sense of humour. He made the theory part of the course very interesting, and kept making jokes which just made everything even better. His wife, Dympna (also an instructor) joined us for parts of the course and was just as awesome!
They have a B&B on site, which i wish i had stayed at, and have a beautiful property that's very well maintained. I will definitely be going back!

Also, if you go to OSKC, make sure to say hi to Molly, their dog, who is absolutely adorable and roams around all the time.

Quite by accident we found this place when looking for a bed n' breakfast place to stay on our way up to the French River, Ontario Canada.
This was much more than a Bed and Breakfast! It had different kinds of over-night stay with the additive of several different activities in the offering.
First off, one could stay in the house which had a modern rustic and quaint charm appeal, or stay in a 'Yurts', or a regular pitched tent. For those who don't know, a Yurts facility is camping on a platform with a roomier & more structured tent. It has much more room than a regular tent and can be warmer depending if there is a small portable heaters are used. Some call this 'glamping'. For the outdoor people, they have a screened common facility which is pretty big which has a cooking area & several chairs. They prepare their own meals.
Plus they offer also gave various classes and activities. We learned they also have a platform for outdoor yoga which faces the shore of Parry Sound and is about 25 yards from a small sandy beach belonging to the center. Plus they have sea kayaking with a class, in a group or by your lonesome in Parry Sound or nearby streams and rivers (I'm not exactly sure if the river bit but I thought I heard it mentioned).
The food served is all organic of which they make all or at least much of it themselves.
I guess one negative is that they are located not far from a 4 lane although there are several barriers blocking out the sound is not really noticeable unless you have you house window open & are facing that direction. You may be able to see the 4 lane if the trees are bare otherwise it is not noticeable. At any rate it was not bothersome.
This is a fresh, new facility, with new thoughts & ideas run by a young, energetic couple.
If you want something off the beaten path- this is it fellas!
