This place is amazing. Incredible collection of fire trucks and ephemera from the past. You can spend an hour or two here easy if you take it all in. Also a nice cosy reading nook upstairs for the kids with a few books. One oft he trucks you can do on and "play" with. Enjoyable spot for all ages!

Had a wonderful time exploring the old firetrucks and equipment. There were stories of huge/historical fires. So glad we visited!

We had family come down and stay with us so we took them to the museum. We had our three year old grandson with us and he just loved it. I'm a retired firefighter and I loved it.

Went here in September of 2017. Free entrance for firefighters which was nice. The building is aged but other than that it's well worth the stop. Great history and a cool collection of antiques and trucks

Two stories in an old fire station filled with historic fire trucks - even from early 1800s. I didn't even know they had pumper back then. I imagined buckets. Some great photos and a nice souvenir selection.

We finally made it. It was certainly worth the wait. There are two floors with about two dozen fire engines and pumpers dating back to the early 1800's. They are from a number of communities around Nova Scotia. Lots of artifacts and pictures to see. The exhibits are well laid out and easy to view. Contrary to one review, there is only one engine that you can get on. It could take a couple of hours to really experience it all but, you can have a look at just the engines and pumpers which are neat. I will be directing my future guests to this museum.

This is a great spot, especially for kids. Lots to touch and lots to learn. Great for young and old alike.

This museum was great! As a family of four, it was inexpensive and had tons of stuff for us to see. Staff are there to answer questions if you have any, but they leave you to do your own exploring which was nice.

Being that my dad, grandfather and myself are firefighters this was definitely a very interesting museum to visit. A lot of history from fires that have taken place in Nova Scotia and old trucks/steamers dating back to the 1800's. One of the best museums I've seen yet!
