Disappointing. A couple of wolves just lying behind a chain fence. We found the experience was nothing like we thought being a wolf refuge.
The talk was informative but it’s not worth the drive to visit.

SUCH A SCAM, I spent more time trying to get to the place, then the “tour” if you could call it that!, you can’t get even close to the wolfs, there no place to walk, there’s like 2 cages with 2 wolfs each and that’s about IT

Quick side trip during stopover in Golden. Interesting to hear about conservation activities and see the wolves and the sponsorship of the people who run the site. Site talk was interactive and hosts were very knowledgeable.

This is a small refuge for seven wolves. It was a bit smelly as they feed them carcasses and road kill. However what a fantastic and informative place.
Did you know Yellowstone park nearly lost all of it’s wildlife and certain vegetation because they killed off the wolves. Canada gave them some and within ten years everything was back. But guess what the Canadian government are currently culling wolves and risk doing the same.
In the last 100 years there has been no attack by a wolf on humans.

This is a small sanctuary, but worth going to with kids so that they can see wolves up close and learn something from the interpretive guides. They provided a very honest account of the state of wolves in western Canada. We got some great photos of "Flora" one of their resident wolves too.

We went on the photography tour and it was the most amazing experience. It was fantastic spending time walking with Flora, one of the wolves, and learning more about these wonderful animals. All the staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about wolf conservation. It was a real privilege.

Really interesting talk from the guide and a good insight into the issues facing these wolves and the government’s stance on mismanaging this. Met the owner and her dogs. Short visit only as not a lot to see once you’ve completed the talk and seen the 5 wolves

This place is interesting. We were actually staying right down the road and you could hear the wolves howling. The tour was very informative

I was very pleasantly surprised to see the Sanctuary in full swing post -Covid.
I RECOMMEND this Wolf Sanctuary 100%. Just a few Miles /KMs outside of Golden, BC.
The proprietors and staff are fully engaged in Wolf Protection, Wolf Education to the Public, and provide a comforting Home for a few of these Magnificent Creatures.
We were especially impressed by the Knowledgeable Speakers/Educators we encountered. Special thanks to TREY, KELSEY and Owner/Manager Shelley Black.
Well worth the Visit.
Interesting Displays as well.
Drop by if you have the time! You will like it.

The centre is a fantastic place to experience a close up view of the wolves. The educational talk given is very knowledgeable and well presented.

Yes, I agree with the people above, it will take about 45 minutes. You can get a great map of the area from the Tourist Center on Highway 1. Also when driving those back roads be very watchful, as wildlife can jump out of the ditches so quickly that it can be frightening. Now it might be easier if there is a good amount of snow, you will be able to see them more easily. There won't likely be bears now, but perhaps deer. The Wolf Center is really worth the visit.
