This was an excellently organised trip. Caitlin at Wild-Eye did a great job offering us, at fairly short notice, two alternative itineraries for a 3 week trip round the Western Cape and Sabi Sand safari, which allowed us to choose the one best suited to our budget, plus a list of well-chosen and separately priced optional excursions (we chose them all). A Teams/Zoom discussion as the trip was being progressed made us feel that our itinerary was being planned for us, not just an off the shelf package, and we were very pleased with the outcome.
Each location chosen complemented the others, giving us a well-balanced and very varied tour of this part of South Africa. Everywhere we stayed we enjoyed the accommodation, the area/location and the excursions with very interesting local guides for each. There was an issue with a hotel at one destination which appears to have been mis described to Caitlin, but she performed near miracles in securing a very acceptable alternative and a same day flight and transfers to reach it. She was constantly in touch by WhatsApp, checking that everything was going well and available for advice on matters such as tipping, a very personal service which was hugely appreciated by my wife and me.
On a previous safari to India, someone told me that if we wanted to visit South Africa, the people to contact were Wild-Eye. He was so right, we are very glad we did, having just returned from a truly wonderful and varied trip organised with great attention to detail which was exactly what we were looking for. I would not hesitate to use them again on a future trip.

This was my third Wild Eye trip to the Serengeti with Michael Laubscher and Johan van Zyl. If you're not sure, if you should go to the same location again, the answer is absolutely: YES!!! Every time the experience and sightings are unique and different! Even traveling with the same guides, there is still a lot to learn every time in the different wildlife encounters. Always looking forward to my next Wild Eye safari!

I have traveled on five scheduled wild eye trips and they have planned three solo trips for me in the past, but this past November was the first really long trip and very involved trip that they planned for me and my husband and I can't wait to think of new things I want them to plan for me. They created a perfect itinerary in Botswana that captured all of the things we wanted to see. It gave us ample time to see those things and interspersed it with unexpected delights. Every time I travel with Wild Eye or work with them on custom trip planning, I am impressed anew. I am counting the days until my next trip in August.

Thank you again Emma for helping us find the perfect accommodation in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. Nyaleti Lodge, the B&B, was exactly what we were looking for. The tour company chosen for the panoramic Tour & Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre were very good, Kingsley, our guide was excellent. Many thanks for all your help, we had a wonderful time!

My experience on the Wild Eye predators safari was fantastic. We had amazing leopard sightings every day and I got to explore my technique for taking images in the dark with the vehicle spotlight. Johan provided excellent tuition on photo techniques to help me take my photography to another level. Thoroughly recommended.

My trip with Wild Eye was to South Africa - SabiSabi and Mala Mala game reserves. They know when to go and where to go to increase your chances of having fabulous wildlife encounters. The lodging was great, we had multiple sightings of leopards, lions (including cubs), rhinos, elephants, zebra, etc. Our Wild Eye guide gave us ideas on camera settings but also encouraged us to try new things which for me was night photography and high-key imaging. Looking forward to finding my next trip with them. Still going through the many, many photos I took on the trip.

We have been using WildEye's help and services many times before, so it's easy to trust them when planning a safari. This time we draw the outlines with Andrew and the real hard work was done by Emme. She was wonderful and very helpful when we wanted to have a day tour in Johannesburg, including Apartheid Museum and a couple of shops (Mungo and Yes! I got my F.O:M. bellies ;-) ) ending up the WildEye office for a meet and greet (and a stunning lunch)
She fixed all the transfers (City tour- Pilanesberg-Madikwe) as well as accommodations , based on our wishes, needs and budget. Everything was just perfect: both in the Lodges and out in the bush. We had "ordered" Wild dogs and Leopards on our safari and indeed we managed to see both -and tons of other wildlife.
Many thanks to Emma and the whole WildEye team! Next one is already loading ....

The motto of Wild Eye is "Change the way you see the world." Well, this trip, thanks to Andrew's guidance, changed the way I see photography. I learned a great deal, but came away with a different perspective on how and what to photograph, as well as edit. A great trip, as always!

I've If just returned from Wild Eye's new !Khamab Kalahari Safari. If you feel like you've "seen it all" on safari, this is the trip for you.
What an incredible experience to have a 90k hectare reserve to ourselves and the opportunity to not only follow our sightings for as long as we wanted, but to have the opportunity to sagely disembark from the vehicle and continue the sighting on foot. While there are challenges to this kind of experience with regards to animals who are not habituated to humans or vehicles, that just enhances the experience because you can recreate the feeling of safari before mass commercialization.
I am so glad I had this opportunity and am always impressed by the Wild Eye team. Not only is their operation a well-oiled machine at all times, but their creativity in developing new trips that take advantage of the diversity available in safaris is admirable. Not content with recreating safaris you could find anywhere, they strive to show their guests more of Africa and to show it to them more profoundly.
