Fabulous family experience

We had a fabulous tour around the docks at the weekend. We took the trip from Neptune’s statue to Temple Meads and then back to Hotwells. Although we’d visited all the places before it was great to get a waterline perspective. Our granddaughter absolutely loved it and would have happily gone round again. The crew were friendly and prices were a bargain. Let’s hope the mayor doesn’t proceed with his plan to double fees for waterway use so these little communities can continue to thrive.

Took a 45 minute boat trip. Nice to see harbour from a different angle. Disappointed with the commentary, could not hear. Asked for sound to be turned but didn’t mark any difference, so lost interest.
There were several boats about, perhaps we were just unlucky with the one we hopped on.

Lovely boats

The prices were very reasonable so you get to see part of the city from a different angle. We chanced across a landing point just as the boat was arriving so we were lucky as the signage wasn't too clear. Well-recommended.

I realise it’s a volunteer led organisation but trying to follow signage to a station that would take passengers was impossible. The signs from town were fine then it just stopped so you had to wander along the waterfront to find faded signs, first one said they wouldn’t pick up at that landing but go a further 6 minutes to the next place. Again lack of signage and if this was the one we were directed to then again was closed to passenger loading. Even checked with a local and they had no idea what we were talking about. Anyway it was a nice walk.
I gave it 2 because it is community led and might have been good if we could have found one.

Informative and fun

If you just want to use the ferry as a water bus you can. But we found the crew knowledgeable and engaging as well. Ask them anything about the sights you see on the trip, and they will have interesting facts. We paid for the full 1 hour 20 minute trip. Enjoyed every moment. People getting on and off all the way round. Would definitely do it again.

Nous avons adoré notre tour de 40 minutes avec Charly et sa capitaine 👩‍✈️ de bord
Elles sont sympathiques et rigolotes
Bristol est magnifique depuis le bateau aussi !!!
À faire absolument. Départ de Broad Quai au centre-ville.
Prix très corrects env 9 euros pour 40 minutes et
Rabais si grand tour de 80 minutes

Drunk shouting passengers

Waste of money, £8 each to go to temple meads and back. Our trip was ruined by two really drunken passengers shouting and swearing the whole trip. They were clearly heavily intoxicated as they got on the boat. Not a pleasant experience at all.

You must use these ferry’s - great experience.

We had already walked our legs off for a day of our visit to Bristol before deciding we to take a boat trip and see the harbour canal in Bristol.

It was hard to find out where to get on a boat when the marketing or advertising is not great

We asked and eventually found the boars but they said they were stopping for lunch but would be
Back at 2.00.

We came back at 2.00 to discover
They. See re rated up again at 1.40 - we were annoyed I can tell you however, we got on the next boat and spent 80 wonderful minutes in a figure of 8 from the city centre.

We had the boat Margaret with skipper Sam and his lovely assistant - can’t recall her name sorry.

These two are a real credit to your company and deserve every penny and more per hour than you pay them - ( I’m not related to them and I don’t have to say this stuff they truly are brilliant)

They are chatty friendly and customer focussed all the time.

There was a case of some people at. Stop no longer in use but they went across and picked them up such is their attention to the needs of those who use the ferrys.

The things you see the human pleasure they give to people and things you see from water level is wonderful and saves legs and shoe leather.

I heartily recommend this service but also these two on the Margaret! .
