Nice and relaxing. My Grandma is sleeping peacefully here. I wonder when she will wake up. We went there yesterday with her and she was in a wierd box. Why?

Did a Murder, Mystery and Mayhem tour with Charlotte . Great evening . Very experienced guide in this and “did I mention “other cemeteries . Lots of references to local places in Bristol where murders and hangings took place . Take a touch if not going in the summer .

We absolutely loved the 'morbid curiosity' tour! Emily was a wonderful guide and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. We've loved every minute of it. If we're ever back in Bristol we'd love to try one of the other tours as well.

We did the Morbid Curiosity Tour with Emily. It was fantastic- Emily was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun despite the rain. Definitely going to visit again

Highly recommend the Morbid Curiosity tour. Our guide was Emily who was a font of knowledge. Engaging, informative and passionate about her subject! A really enjoyable evening and something different for a Friday night! Will definitely be trying the other tours on offer.

What an interesting and peaceful place; a wildlife haven amongst the hustle and bustle of Bristol. We had the 90 minute introductory tour (booked online through their website), which covered everything we wanted to know. Our guide was brilliant; she was lovely, very knowledgeable, provided very interesting information and answered all the questions we had. They do various tours, including a night time bat tour, and I will certainly be going on another one in the future.
There is limited parking in the cemetery but we parked easily. We also had some lovely cake and coffee in the cafe. The whole cemetery and cafe seating area outside (under cover) is dog friendly too.

Went to a wedding celebration here and Wow! What a place, it is extremely beautiful with lovely walks around the area. The staff are amazing and very friendly, it is well worth a visit and finding out about the history of the place! The Hogroast was organised by a company called Pickled Pumpkin, Excellent food and service.

Went on the murder mystery and mayhem tour on Friday 21st April and it was brilliant. Our guide was really knowledgable, incredibly enthusiastic and made it a great experience. Myself and my friend loved it and are going to book another tour soon!
The cemetery itself is beautiful-really peaceful and so many interesting things to see.

A little tranquil haven in the city where the plants are left to grow wild. It is not overly maintained which is lovely, but the paths are clear to wander around, pram / wheelchair friendly routes too

Charlotte was an absolutely stellar guide, her passion enthusiasm and knowledge about the place and people within was peerless. If it was possible to give 6 stars for the tour I had (21/01/23) I would give that.
I will be recommending the tour to many others and hope to go back again for some of the other tours that focus on different aspects of the cemetery.
It was fantastic to hear the stories behind the monuments and also hear about the people that made the place what it is. Charlotte was a fountain of information and only too happy to answer our questions. Her unbridled enthusiasm for helping people to learn more and informative anecdotes really made it a (excuse the pun) memorial experience!

Is it possible to cycle around the cemetery, or do I need to leave my bike at the entrance (i.e. only walking is allowed in the grounds)?

Cycling is impossible, the paths are narrow, steep and uneven.

Where is the best place to park near the cemetery ?

There's limited parking in the Cemetery but always worth trying that first depending on how busy it is. If you aren't able to park there then the main road opposite the entrance has some parking as do the nearby side streets. At worst you'll have a 3-4 minute walk but Arnos Vale is worth it!
If all else fails then there's parking nearby in the shopping area by McDonalds by the traffic lights opposite Arnos Hotel - 5 mins.
