Nice trails, good quality and well maintained bikes, friendly service, reasonable pricing. (car park is always full though!!)

Pedal progression provide the bikes, currently £12 for one hour, £6 for each extra hour. This means you don’t have to worry about getting a puncture or checking the brakes. They do all of that for you. We followed the blue route, which is suitable for beginners. However it is also suitable for daredevils; you just cycle faster, jump higher and corner more quickly. The route is mainly flat, with enough uphill to improve your fitness and enough downhill to give you a rush of excitement. The route takes about an hour, but we managed to do our favourite section through the woods, twice, and were still able to hand in our bikes in time.

An amazing introduction to mountain biking. This course was perfect and taught spot on by Ollie. I will definitely be booking on the fundamentals course next. Well done.

We had a great session with Ollie C yesterday. It really did start from beginner, so if you are a bit wary then this is for you. Brilliant small group with time for questions and trying out some of the red sections for those who wanted to but no pressure. Quality bikes and great instructions. If you are quite confident then this may be a bit basic but great to build skills and then go out on your own. They also hire bikes so I can see us going back to do the same at our own pace. Thanks Ollie.

Fantastic shop, very good bikes, great service. Have been coming here for a few months now to keep on a bike through winter. Courses are very well maintained and give a few challenges. You can combine the Ashton loop with Leigh Woods for a one hour or so ride so plenty of options to ride long or short. Guys in the shop are excellent, and loyalty is rewarded. Highly recommended.
