It was ok. We went on 2 hour ride to Iron Bridge which is not Iron Bridge near Telford just in case you did not know. Bits to see on first mile but after that a bit mundane watching trees. Fortunately it was a hot day so there was plenty of bikini clad female action on paddle boards trying their very best to slow the boat down. Could not hear the commentary as the boats engine is so noisy. I think on reflection the 30 min rides are better for a quick whizz down river to see the posh houses.

We came for a fish & chip cruise and greatly enjoyed it. The scenery, food, and commentary were all enjoyable and the staff were friendly.

Spent a lovely half hour on board the Lady Diana cruising along the River Dee. Good commentary. Comfortable seating I sat upstairs. Bar service available. Friendly staff. Suitable for everyone. I bought my ticket at the Quayside £8.50 for adults, concessions £8.00. Children £3.50 under fives free. Cheaper if you buy online. There are also Friday night specials, themed party nights and Santa special cruises.

We had a lovely 2 hour trip on the River Dee from Chester to the iron bridge. Thankfully lovely weather. All under cover with a lower section with a bar and seating, an upper area and some back seating. The staff were marvelous and commentary interesting. There are toilet facilities on board.

Went on the 80s pop party night. It was amazing. We were a group of 14 in a hen party. On arrival we all had a glass of wine and were shown to our reserved table. It was a great party atmosphere, great music played and the staff were brilliant. Had a good dance on the floor at the front of the boat. There was limited food (burger) but it was just enough for us all. I would thoroughly recommend this night.

A River Dee cruise with ChesterBoat is the perfect way to relax and see the city from a new perspective. The staff makes it a safe experience. I enjoyed listening to the commentary from the captain highlighting points of interest. I took the 30-minute cruise but I'd quite happily try the 2-hour cruise if I had more time to spare.

At the weekend we had a great night on the Lady Diana for one of their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s party nights. I have to start by saying all of the staff were brilliant. Very friendly and they worked extremely hard clearing tables of glasses etc. The DJ was great fun and played a whole range of songs not just the usual hits from those years. He was happy to accommodate requests too.
We were a group of ten, 5 women and 5 men (in our 40’s/50’s) among mostly groups of women but the atmosphere was great fun and everyone was having a brilliant time. Yes the food is pretty basic but it was of acceptable quality for the price and they were constantly checking the temperature of it. The bar was very reasonably priced and it was good not to feel tipped off like you normally see on nights like this.
I would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely 30 minute cruise on the River Dee. Great views and interesting information from the recorded commentary. The real stand out though was how lovely the staff were, particularly the Captain. My 16 year old daughter is really nervous around boats and was too frightened to come on but the lady Captain was so kind and chatted to her until she felt confident to come aboard even showing her the controls. As well as giving us a nice experience it helped Erin feel less afraid of boat trips in future. Would definitely recommend.

Nice river cruise with informative commentary. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Very enjoyable trip with children and not too long.

Are these boat trips “ No Smoking” ?
2 hours with someone smoking would be intolerable

Apologies for only just coming back to you - we have had a technical hitch! We do not allow smoking on any of our boats, so you should be able to breath in the lovely fresh around you and enjoy a smoke-free cruise.
