We went out on the boat trip during our last day of the October half term. The price was very reasonable and the duration just long enough for young kids.
We had the joy of seeing a few seals which my
Kids loved and lovely gentle cruise around the island. The price was very reasonable and the captain extremely likeable, he told us lots of facts about the area and even that he earns enough money to live on the “money” side of Looe ;-)
A really pleasant and enjoyable trip to end our visit to the area. I would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Great trip - bit of a swell which made it even better. Knowledgeable and amazing commentary from the captain. Saw a few seals and mostly cormorants around the island. Great fun. Great value. Definitely recommend it!

You cannot visit Looe without a trip on the lovely glass bottom boats. We visit annually and always do a boat trip with knowledgable and friendly Anthony. £10 per person and we saw some beautiful seals, wildlife and greats views of Looe Island. Definitely recommend!

Spur of the moment boat trip captained by Richard. Very knowledgable and interesting to find out about the local history and even things he has found whilst diving in the local area. Spotted some jellyfish and seals. Overall best £10 I’ve spent in ages. Brilliant.

All boat trips out of Looe were £10 water was very calm &clear so opted for glass bottom boat was a pleasant scenic trip around the bay saw few sea birds few seals much not much thru glass bottom few fish seaweeds seabed etc still a nice trip

We booked a place on the boat which there were 3 boats which went out together as there were quite a few people there. There are some glass panels on in part of the boat which you sit around and can see the sea floor in the shallow parts. We unfortunately didn't see any wildlife via this view just seaweed etc. We managed to spot some seals during part of the journey from a distance. The sea was a little bit choppy so the boat at times was up and down which if you get sea sick this might not be for you.
Overall the captain was knowledgeable, the journey was nice. If you are in the area this is worth having a go

The captain was friendly and informative. He was really helpful when an elderly member of our party was struggling to get on and off the boat. We had a great trip around the bay and we were even able to spot a couple of seals!

Our captain was amazing, chatted happily throughout our journey and gave us a guided tour. He allowed the kids to steer the boat and ensured the kids (and adults) saw seals before we returned. The captain was super friendly and hilarious, a really nice man.

Nice informative trip on an August morning. We only managed to see a few seals at a distance and some small jellyfish sadly but the guy driving the boat was engaging and informative about the area and the island. Only £10pp for a 45 minute trip so good value too. Recommended

There are a number of Wildlife oriented boat trips available out of the Harbour Town of Looe.
This one has a Glass Bottomed Vessel conveying you on a trip around the popularly named ‘Looe Island’, a short distance out of the
harbour of this Lovely Coastal Cornish Town.
On a calm, dry, sunny day it is delightful enough, but when the wildlife are accommodating, it is quite magical.
On our trip, lasting 45 minutes, we were lucky enough to witness the pilot of the boat inviting a Seal to enjoy a Mackerel out of his own
hand. But what really made the event was when a seagull swooped on the lucky Seal and snatched the fish out of the Seal’s mouth!
After that the return to Harbour was entirely uneventful, but what we saw was something never to be forgotten.
You need to pre-book your trip on the Boatzer, by contacting the Mobile Phone Number on the Advertising Board displayed at the Quayside on
the Eastside of the Town.
Trips leave about every hour, depending on tides.
Cash payment only accepted.
