Amazing trip. Saw lots of wildlife, and dolphins that swam and played along with the boat. Also educational, for instance I learnt that there are less grey seals than African elephants!

My wife and I booked the 4 hour Discovery Voyage trip, had a excellent trip.
The staff were very competent, knowledgeable and enthusiatic. The boat had plenty of space to move around on. We saw 2 types of dolphins, plenty of seals and lots of seabirds. Being on the water, the coastline also looked spectacular. We will certainly book with them again when we next visit Cornwall, and can only recommend them highly to others. Dont miss out on a wonderful 4 hours.

What an amazing 3hr trip we had with Marine Discovery - Duncan and Josh were lovely and so knowledgable. Even though we were a little unlucky with dolphin sightings, we didn’t feel short changed at all. Still an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to join you all again very soon. Thankyou!!

We had such an amazing trip and would highly recommend it! We saw a pod of common dolphins that played near the boat, some porpoises, seals as well as lots of birds. The crew were so knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience fab.

We went on the Ocean discovery tour and this was definitely one of the hi lights of our break in Cornwall. Duncan and the rest of the team were very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the marine life. We saw gannets, seals and hundreds of dolphins . It was a touch choppy - glad of waterproofs , which they do provide.

Absolutely recommended. Very informative and passionate. Very relaxing and peaceful when the sails are up. We were lucky to spot porpoises, seals, dolphins and gannets. We sailed for longer than our 3 hours booked so that we could see the porpoises. Cannot recommend enough 🤩🤩🤩

Hel bijzondere ervaring! De crew is heel hulpvaardig en klantbewust. Ze hebben een grote kennis van de dieren en leggen uitgebreid uit. We hebben heel veel dolfijnen gezien die minutenlang de boot volgden. Het varen was heel aangenaam en veilig.

A fantastic 4 hour trip we both massively enjoyed. We went on the Ocean Discovery trip and saw a great amount of Dolphins, Sea Birds and Seals, as well as the incredible sight of the Cornish coast. If you care about wildlife and the environment, this is most certainly the trip for you as they let the wildlife come to you (which the Dolphins did in abundance for us), instead of motoring into the feeding grounds, disrupting the wildlife, like some other operators. The boat itself is really comfy, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy whats going on around you! The operators were extremely knowledgeable, open and honest about what we were seeing and we felt in very safe hands. An all round great experience. Book now!

Three glorious hours bobbing about the briny with Duncan and Rebecca. Would have been even more glorious had there been wildlife to be seen other than some Manx Shearwaters and a seal. At least the scenic splendour was spectacular. Sadly though the gods did not smile on us this trip, it being almost a flat calm with little breeze let alone wind ( so no sailing just motoring out and back ). But despite this disappointment it was a well organised voyage from Duncan and his crew, with us land lubbers expertly inducted into the ways of the wave. Given the opportunity would most certainly go again, hopefully to see more the next time.

This afternoon we had a 4 hour trip on Marine Discovery, and were so lucky to see firstly , common dolphin, at a small distance, and then a little later a big pod of Bottle nosed Dolphins. Duncan said it was unusual to see both of these at this time of year. He is very knowledgable and gave us facts and figures of dolphin swim speeds, and bird flight speeds as well as much more interesting information. Such a lovely trip, and all done according to marine conservation code. A really lovely afternoon. Thank you Duncan & Rebecca 😊

Hi Nicola, thanks for the message. Yes we have a toilet on "Shearwater II". This is down in one of the hulls, and is accessed by a couple of steps.

Hi is trip suitable to take an 18 month old and a 78 year old with mobility issues?

Hi thanks for the message. While we are fine to take people on with mobility issues, our minimum age for the Bay Discovery (hour and a half) trip is three, and for the Ocean Discovery (three hours) it's six years old. This is because it's an open sailing boat not suitable for very little children. We do our best to accommodate different needs and disabilities, though you do need to have a bit of mobility to access the boat. Once on, there is secure bench seating at the back of the boat.
