Beautiful, clean, cafe, toilets, nice cove. Recommend if you have young children due to sheltered cove, but good for all ages. Great as family base for a beach day.

We love a cold water swim here early in this fantastic beach , it can get quite deep quickly but is safe and sheltered enabling a good pool to swim across .
We stay at 2 Trevail Apartments each time which is a modern 2 bedroom apartment close to Porthminster beach , town and station - availability on stivesholidays.com

Especially first-time visitors would miss this lovely spot, as it's not over advertised.
Often peaceful. particularly just outside the main high season. Don't tell everyone!
They'll be more than happy to stick to Porthminster or Porthmeor, which are most delightful too.

Being an owner of two well behaved dogs I can relate to Dog bans on beaches and I guess our first visit to this beach taught us a harsh lesson about some Dog owners.....
The beach is lively, calm waters and a net strung along to keep out...
Who knows what!. Safe, golden sands...but full of people ignoring the ban and indeed we fell foul of one undesirable very large, muscular man with one of those dogs that you need a harness for...unfortunately or fortunately for us as his wife saw us and shouted to him to put the harness on his bulk made him to slow to apply...outcome our soft as a brush cockapoo gets terrorised as do we when we intervene.
The beach us backed by a lovely cafe and beach bar although obviously this chap maybe shouldn't have imbued so much.....
Wouldn't go back, the council need to enforce bans otherwise they just don't work.

On our day trip here from Redruth, we found this to be a lovely beach, even when overcrowded. Well worth a visit.

This is a relatively small beach but it feels very safe for swimming and you can hire your own beach hut. There are also nearby toilets.

just another fantastic beach in Cornwall they seem to have so many you are spoilt for choice but this one was close to our location so convenient for us

Lovely small beach that catches the sun and keeps breeze at bay. Nice takeaway cafe where you can get food cups of coffee and beer !

This quite, little and glorious beach looks like a private attractive beach. It is very calm but yet to offer lots of fun to children and you can explore great views.
Surrounding like a wall, very clean and well maintained.
Food and drinks are available right on top and toilets facilities nearby.
Early arrival for better place is recommended.

Does anyone know if the beaches here in Cornwall are clear,and what the weather may be like around July 25th 2016 please.

On our visit there was a "no dogs allowed" sign at the entrance to the beach.there is however a dog friendly beach a five minute walk away.
