I remember these two ladies well, and am sorry that they are unable to tell the truth about their order or the service. Three members of staff witnessed the order being taken on the computerised till, and when I asked them why they had returned the order they admitted that they had placed the order as we fulfilled it but changed their mind when it was delivered to their table. One lady claimed that she had ordered scotch pancakes which do not even appear on our menu. They demanded their money back even though the error was theirs and when I refused they slammed down their drinks and left in high dudgeon remarking sarcastically how wonderful the service had been. Regular customers of ours at the next table congratulated me on handling the situation diplomatically and correctly, and that the ladies had already been complaining at high volume before even sitting down about having to wait one minute in the queue behind two other customers to place their order. As sorry as I am to lose any customer, and I can't think of the last time we did, I will not be sorry if these two ladies keep their promise never to come here again. However I hope their friends will come and give us a try and I know be pleasantly surprised. Harry Eves, Proprietor
