We had a gorgeous walk [albeit the sun was shining] in this beautiful place. We had a nice coffee at the cafe, attended a great church service in the church on site and enjoyed a browse around the shops. Thoroughly unspoilt little gem.

Tucked away from the hubbub of Torquay this park is very tranquil, a lovely way to spend several hours, walking and visiting some of the shops and cafes in Cockington

Loved this beautiful little chocolate box village. Cute thatched cottages and a tea room few little craft shops. The access road is very tight so great care needed.
Car park is £1.20 for 1 hour and £2.20 for 2 hours which is plenty of time to look round. Free loos too which has been a first this holiday!!

This was a brilliant find a shortish walk from Torquay on a sunny day. The thatched roofs and cute little cafes and small businesses made the place even better. Worth a visit for a morning or afternoon.

Very near to Torquay. A beautiful chocolate village with thatched cottages. Well worth a visit and have an icecream while you are there!

This village really is straight off the lid of a fancy box of chocolates. Absolutely idyllic. Cream tea in the Old School House is a must, as is a pint in the Drum Inn.

Lovely way to walk there saw some lovely properties
Stopped and had a cold drink

Very disappointed in the entire Cockington experience! It’s not a village at all but a crossroads with a few thatched buildings. ‘The Lakes,’ which sounded picturesque were actually two murky, stagnant ponds with a load of black fish gasping at the surface for air it was pitiful to see. The villagers seem to resent tourists and certainly did not appear welcoming. The shops are outdated and we certainly wouldn’t visit there again.

My wife and I walked from Torquay to here on the recommendation of one of her friends.This was our last day in Torquay and we still wanted to visit Brixham so we had limited time which was a shame because it is a lovely place to visit.The big house we only seen from a distance but I believe you can go inside and look around.Wespent most of our time walking through the woods then admiring the lovely thatched roof house from a bygone age.It started getting very busy while we were there so we caught the little bus that takes you to Torquay harbour that comes through the village hourly.

Wow what a place you wouldn't think you were in torquay. Lovely place to visit. The rose gardens were so pretty and very well maintained by the volunteers. The church was lovely and the glass blowing was interesting to watch.

Is there a Red tourist bus we can get to go round Torquay? We are visiting this week with a lady who cannot walk far.

Not as far as we know, but there is a single decker bus disguised as a little train, which goes through the streets from the beach,past Torre Abbey. Cannot say exact route but you will be able to ask in Torquay.
