Hi - I would like to swim in the sea in Brighton, but I am worried about leaving my stuff on the beach. Do you think I could go to the King Alfred Leisure Centre, pay he entry fee, leave my stuff in a locker there, and then walk out in my wetsuit and swim in the sea? Do people do that and is it acceptable?
Or has anyone any suggestion about how to swim in the sea in Brighton - if I leave my clothes and mobile phone on the beach will they get nicked and/or peed on by dogs? I'm planning on a day trip from London.
Hi, if you would like to call 01273 290290 I am sure we can find a solution.

How often is the pool cleaned? I am often surprised at the amount plasters and general debris when swimming first thing in the morning - as wearing goggles reveals... Is the [tested] water quality ever 'posted' for visitors to see?

The pool has filters around the outside that the water "slops" into. This is then pumped back into the pool, so any debris will be caught as it enters the filter. To my knowledge I have never known it be closed for "cleaning" as like most pools they rely on chlorine. However they do have nets for large debris, I know because I saw them scoop a child's poo out once.
