Great day of family fun. A very well run operation.
The team were really friendly and made you feel welcome and at ease from the onset. We enjoyed the silver package which included Crossbow, Archery and Axe throwing. Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loved it, and the instructors paid her special attention and were really patient. Highly recommended and great activity for inclement weather.

We had previously been to this place many years before and enjoyed it. It is located in a run down part of Hastngs on a hospital site. Having driven down for many hours and arrived 30 minutes prior, we found the place locked up. Finally they opened 5 minutes before we were due to start. They recommend arriving 30-15 minutes prior to starting. The place is so deserted I wondered if they had gone out of business. There are no signs advising that they would not open unitl 5 minutes prior. A number of cars on blocks and smashed glass gives the place a sinister air. We completed 45 later of the hour we paid for. Live fire was fun, but very very short. All in all not great value for money and a long drive if you are coming from the South East.

Held a birthday party for a 10 year old here and the children loved it. We opted for the nerf wars party. Unfortunately they do not have the option for them to supply the food so we ordered Pizzas and took a few bits ourselves to add to the table. You have the option to decorate the room, meaning table, birthday banners and balloons that are all supplied by yourself. I was a little disappointed as on the website the room looks freshly decorated and the party room has lasers and disco lights however when we got there on the day the room looked old and tatty and the lighting didn’t work which is why I have marked it down. The children seemed to enjoy themselves which is what counts I suppose.

Six of us, three in our 60s and three in their 20s, experienced three activities, archery, cross bow and axe throwing. From arriving through to the end we had Nick as our teacher-he was fantastic dealing with people who had different capabilities. A very patient person and made it fun. He was obviously passionate about what he did and as it was the end of the evening he gave us some extra time. Although we drove 60 miles from south-west London it is certainly somewhere where we would go again. Many thanks Nick.

Me and my friend attended this venue in Sep 2020 and we really enjoyed ourselves. Never done anything like this before and decided to jump in with the gold package to have a go with as much equipment as possible (air rifle, crossbow, archery, axe throwing and live fire).
No regrets. We both loved the live fire and air rifle and enjoyed getting to experience the other activities too. I personally enjoyed the crossbow but that may also be as it was the only thing I scored better with than my friend.
Nick was a great teacher and patient with us throughout. Holly really knew her stuff with the live fire and that helped to make sure we were nice and calm to enjoy the activity in the safest way possible.
If we ventured to Hastings direction again, they can surely expect us to visit 100%
Also I should add that cleanliness in line with covid restrictions were on point... sanitizing, smaller groups booked at once etc.
Thanks to Nick and Holly and the 1066 target sports team for making this a great experience as part of our long weekend exploring Hastings.
If only we had something like this nearer our base in west London, I'd surely have a membership! :)

I really like this place and most the staff specially Jeff he makes the place really good. However I do feel like sometimes when I’ve arrived I’m often left waiting a while with out anyone apologising or seeming to be that busy. One of the staff spoke about how they’ve worked in strip clubs in front of my children Id really they didn’t do that. Other then that the place is great kids love it people who have never done anything like it before love it. It’s pretty expensive but well worth it for the experience. It can be cold in there so bring a jumper if you don’t like the cold

Booked in for the gold experience, archery, crossbow, catapult, axe throwing, air rifle and live round shooting. Ryze our instructor was really good and able to tell each of us in the group what modifications/tweaks to improve our results.
Each pair had a competition between themselves which added a nice element, rather than just giving things a go.
Will definitely be back!!!
The signage into the parking isn’t the best, but we rang the centre and were given good instructions as to where to go.

Found this place on TA as #1 in the area, so booked the gold package for myself and my partner who’s birthday it was.
I wanted something different as her usual presents are spa days etc.
So she WAS surprised !
Initially I was abit worried as reception was a little busy but the staff got through efficiently
We had 3 instructors who knew their stuff and the safety briefs were not over the top
The only reasons I marked the experience down was:
1. The paper targets were pretty trashed Maybe they could be changed more regularly
2. The live fire targets were paper photocopied targets and quite faded
3. Ok there’s timings to schedule all the 6 activities over 3 hours but live fire you only had 10 rounds total 5 on semi automatic and 5 on bolt action same sort of quantities for air rifle and catapult but on live fire there was no practice
However do not let the above stop you from having the experience ,the staff were very good and a credit to the place
I haven’t met people who are quite passionate about their job before it was refreshing

We attended a family members party at nerf recently. Party itself was good, staff in the arena were very helpful and friendly. All great with the kids! Only real gripe was the receptionist (blue hair) who was abrupt and rather rude. Real Shame as she's supposed to represent the company!

Hi, Nerf partys are £10 pp with a £50 deposit to secure, ( this pays for the first 5 participants)
Groups of 6 or more party room is included free of charge. no age restriction or limit on participants.

What is the cost and is there an age limit

Costs start from just £6.50.
There are no age limits on any of our activities -within reason- we recommend children are of an age where they can lift their equipment. Our crossbows, for example, are rather heavy. For our .22 rim fire, children must be over about 4ft.

Dear Sue,
I am so sorry that you felt you had to leave such a review on trip-adviser.
If you would like to contact me personally on 01424728949 I would like to explain why some times, when dealing with public safety, I have to be short and to the point with staff members.
ALL the staff at 1066 Target Sports are held in the up most regard and have my unquestioning respect, loyalty and support.
Sue please accept my full apology if to you I came across as a "short tempered, rude, obnoxious, loud, unprofessional and an inexperienced owner", for this I am truly sorry.
However please allow me to clarify a point. I will and with out hesitation raise my voice to be heard across a 15,000 sq ft room full of people, I will also, in short order, rectify any issue relating to the cast iron implementation of correct procedure.
The ultimate responsibility for customer safety lies with me! I take this responsibility very seriously Sue, and when dealing with activities that involve objects that can travel in excess of 1050fps I sometimes need to be both stern and direct. Obviously in this instance you interpreted my actions as rude - once again you have my full apology.
I do welcome criticism from customers and constantly strive to improve the experience they receive when visiting us. I look forward to your next visit and hope to see you soon.
