Beautiful grand church and lots to see when it opens properly again, the tower is very grand and looks like you could take off to Heaven in it.

Beautiful church with some real history. The staff were very well informed about the place... and stained glass which is quite stunning.

Was presently impressed with this real gem of a building.
The ceiling under the west tower when viewed from outside is particularly note worthy.
The present church itself dates from 1492.
Do wander round the churchyard to both view the building as well as read the tombstones covering both recent and older burials.

A must see if you go to Dedham. It’s grand and beautiful.
To me it’s the heart of Dedham. Be sure to leave a few penny’s in their collection pot!! 🙂

I loved the look of this church and looked on the notice board and spoke to someone who was also looking.
There was a service called revive at 5, last Sunday in the month.
I chose to visit as I was staying in Dedham for a week.
Luckily a friend was going so we met. 4.30 we were greeted with hot drinks and a snack which was a friendly gesture.
The greeting was really friendly and they have a different subject every time. This week it was Holy Communion. The speaker was Dot, who was a young interesting person. There were people of all ages, schoolchildren to elderly.
Christine read the bible and I could hear every word.
We sang modern songs, took communion and prayed.
We had an opportunity to say a prayer or write a prayer for someone. Place a candle on a world map.
It was a pleasure to be here and the church is amazing.

Hello we went to the Christmas market and popped into the church to look around.
Lovely church inside very friendly when we walked in.
Saw they were selling hot drinks inside and went for the hot chocolate ..
What a let down the lady who made drinks only put 1 teaspoon of hot chocolate powder in cup paid £2 for it .
Did not taste of anything surely she must have known 1 teaspoon of powder was not going to give it any taste.
Perhaps next year they will read the tin 1st and use 4 teaspoons.

As the church was open we called in on an off chance and we were very pleased that we did so for not only a beautiful interesting building inside that is well cared for, as a bonus there was also a Flower Festival display to marvel at.

A surprisingly large church. Very light because of the clerestory that is typical of the region. A very good selection of stained glass and some lovely carving around the alter.
