Great experience from start to finish!!
We did the 2 hour experience.
Initially we enquired about booking through the website and had a response from Jenny straight away, then we called to book a few days later and she remembered our enquiry and booked us in with no issues. Very lovely and welcoming, answered all our questions, quick and easy.
We then met Neil on the day, who was warm and welcoming, he went through all the safety checks and away we went. Neil was very informative, giving us lots of information about the different types of bows we were using, he continued to give us guidance throughout the session, helping to perfect our shot and even threw in a few jokes along the way.
Would 100% recommend and will be going back and plan on bringing a few friends along with us again next time.

The wife and I had never tried archery before and we found this an excellent way of trying it and maybe getting into the sport. Hopefully return soon to bring more of the family along to have a go

I recently took an archery beginner’s course, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The instructor made all the difference—he was not only knowledgeable but also super fun and engaging. He explained the basics of archery in such an accessible way, sharing tons of tips and tricks.
The location was equally impressive, set in a stunning natural landscape that added to the whole experience. Practicing archery while surrounded by such beautiful scenery made it feel almost meditative. Highly recommend this course for anyone curious about picking up a bow!

Did a 10 Week beginners course with Cotswold archery. Stunning surroundings and excellent tutors. Chances to experience a variety of bows. Really approachable, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. A most excellent way to spend a few hours!

We booked the 2 hour experience and it was fantastic from start to finish. Neil and Jenny are both very welcoming and made the experience really enjoyable. They were both very informative, patient and offered plenty of tips to help improve our technique. We got to have a go on 5 different bows, each one more exciting than the last. Would definitely recommend this to everyone. You won't regret it!

I spent a wonderful morning practicing my archery skills with Neil and Jenny (and their sweet little pup Leo)! They gave me some great advice on how to aim and shoot at the target safely (and get closer to the center)! My session included the opportunity to try shooting a variety of types of bows, which was a lot of fun. They were very patient and friendly and were wonderful teachers. I truly enjoyed my lesson and it was one of the highlights of my holiday in the Cotswolds. I'd highly recommend Cotswold Archery to anyone visiting the area - they are the best! Thank you.

The couple running the experience was very friendly and great teachers. We paid for the basic archery but upgraded for a small fee to an extra half an hour with different bows which was really good to be able to do. A great morning doing something totally different.

Very friendly and fun experience. Really enjoyable couple who run the place and constantly helping you improve and even throw in free jokes 😀 would recommend for groups, couples or solo as a great chance to try archery.

I had loads of fun doing archery and got better than I was before. I had loads of support and because of that I hit a bullseye! I will always remember the fun I had. My family had a great time. 🏹

We thoroughly loved our archery session, location was great. Jenny was lovely, very helpful & friendly with our booking. Neil showed us how to shoot on the day and he was fab - very funny too. We had the best time and the end competition became very competitive and lots of fun too - highly recommended!

Hello so sorry for late reply, we have only just received your question.
Cotswold Archery do one hour of archery for £25 per person , this is usually reserved for Children / Children's parties aged 8 to 14 or potential archers with limited abilities.

Cotswold archery operates seven days a week two session daily at 1000 for two hours and then 1400 for two hours. But must be booked in. see website for details.

Is it possible to try out compound, longbow or field barebow? My wife and I already shoot target recurve (much improvement required though!) and would be interested to dabble in different styles for fun!

Cotswold Archery allows the archer to use up to four other styles of bows in the second hour of the two hour archery session.
You will get to shoot a metal handle recurve bow, a Syrian horse bow, Compound Bow and the Mongolian bow.

Cotswold archery offers two hours of archery for £30 per person, in that two hours the first hour with the basic wooden three piece recurve training bow, to establish a good shooting style.
Then we shoot three other bows, Metal handled recurve bow, A Syrian horse-bow and then the mighty Mongolian bow.
An Olympic sport that takes minutes to learn but years to master.
