An oasis of beauty. The Common is half the size of Central Park in New York and has three lakes and is such a wonderful space to have in the city.

Es un parque gigante donde los peques pueden correr y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Hay una zona de juegos muy chula con arena y toboganes, columpios, etc. También hay un lago con pájaros y patos muy bonito. Merece la pena dar un paseo por aquí sin duda.

A very large park located in the middle of town. We saw many people out enjoying it, walking around on a gloomy day. Good for picnics and all sorts of recreation.

It is really a huge park located in the heart of the city. There are few play areas in the children area which is made of wooden logs and it is really nice.
There are some areas which gives us a feel that we are walking inside woods.

The best thing about the common is finding the odd random hidden paths that go through the various woods. Within a short time, you can be surrounded by trees and feel like you're in a forest despite being so close to the open spaces and one of Southampton's busiest roads.

This is a great big open space that is part of the area, a place for exploration and long walks. Too bad the weather was not good on our visit as we could not be outside for long in the cold. Still it was beautiful.

How lucky we are that the Council has protected this open space . Best time to walk is early in the morning before the less-careful folks are about. (Covid care)

Lovely large common in the heart of the City. Great open spaces to play wide games and have BBQ's in the summer, as well as well built paths ideal for running. Lots of cute ponds with a variety of wildlife.
