I had a good look around town and was very interested to learn of the history of this unique building by way of an information board at the side of the tower.

Lovely clock tower with a good historical story as to why it was built - power to the people !
lovely market square, with a good variety of stalls (the dog treat stall was wild!).
The pub nearest was nice with good gin options.

Having visited many towns in the UK i have to say that St Albans is very far down the list of places I would visit again as there is very little here of interest to anyone. I walked about for maybe an hour and basically its an hour of my life I'll never get back.

no perder visitar la torre del reloj de st albans . la feria de los miercoles y los sabados ,los pubs historicos ,gastronomia muy variada ,hoteleria con muchas opciones y muy importante recorrer sus parques y lagos no deben perder esta experiencia no se van a arrepentir

We visited to go to a restaurant before going to Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tour. Never been before and thought it was a lovely place. Particularly interested in the clock tower and the history of it. Will definitely go back again.

Great little meeting spot in the city centre. It’s an interesting piece of architecture and it’s surrounded by a lot of places to spend time just relaxing.

Last time we visited St Albans it was in sunny June 2012, this year it was rainy October. But still an enjoyable day out wandering around the little shops in St Albans.

Check the St Albans tourist website but from recollection this attraction is open weekends from Easter to September 1030am to 5pm with a few extra days like bank holidays and residents first weekend.The cost of entry this year was £1 for adults and children free. Hope that helps... Enjoy

The Clock Tower is open every Saturday and Sunday from Good Friday until the end of September. It is opened at 10:30 am and closes at 5pm. Cost of entry is £1 for adults and children are free
