A fascinating place to visit even though the tunnels were not open. A great deal more research will be done following our visit. You certainly need to be fit to climb up the hill. Views over the Medway are stunning

A great local historical attraction. Visited with the family over a lovely hot weekend. Fantastic Tour from 'Sunday Steve', who went beyond the internal tours, and showed us around parts of the grounds of which I previously was unaware existed. We'll be back!

We went for the 1:30pm trip on today with “Saturday Steve” or Dave I kept calling him 🙄 he went along! He was absolutely amazing and was an amazing tour guide we couldn’t even thank him enough and couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! He really made the experience and got us all involved and also made the little ones feel included! He just made it so fun and interesting it was bloody amazing! Well done to you Dave!

We visited Fort Amherst yesterday. We did the Tunnel tour with Saturday Steve and Jay who were amazing! They made the tour fun and very interesting for the children (ages 7, 8 and 9) as well as the adults. Their knowledge and enthusiasm was second to none. We all enjoyed it so much, we are already planning to visit again soon. Thank you for a great experience.

We set off on a rainy afternoon for Fort Amherst as my daughter had just been with her school and wanted to go back. I'm so glad we did as we had such a good time. Our guide was Sunday Steve who had the perfect blend of humour and knowledge so the tour just flew by. The saying is true, time flies when you're having fun. It was really interesting learning about the history of the fort and exploring the tunnels.
I would recommend a visit and for the price, it's an absolute bargain. I would have paid more so we'll make a donation for the difference.

Had a great trip to Fort Amherst today and really enjoyed the Tunnels guided tour with our very knowledgable guide, Neil. We learnt so much about a very historic site, that we knew very little about beforehand. Well worth a visit and the small extra fee for the tour.

I live local and didn’t know what an interesting place this is . Visited today and the tour guide Sunday Steve was so informative. If you love history it is well worth a visit . Fabulous cafe onsite where we enjoyed a lovely tea and cake

Hi, I am about to take part in an overnight stay/ghost hunt adventure at your beautiful Fort Amherst.
Is there anybody in particular I should 'talk to', anybody who might like a friendly hello whilst I am wondering about in the dark?
I would like to present myself in a friendly manner, rather than "here we are, dare you to scare me", kind of thing. It isn't their fault that they have not yet found rest... Any advice gratefully received :)
