Visitors need to be aware that even street parking on the cobbled area of the marina and not using a parking bay they expect you pay. Found out the hard way arriving in the dark to visit the Awakening Festival this month as the parking restrictions signs are not lit!
Typical Hull bureaucracy and poor attitude to visitors that reminds why I don't bother taking the short 8 mile drive to visit very often.

A great area to relax, eat good food and visit independent shops. It's especially nice in hot weather with the new outdoor seating areas and has lots of events going on throughout the year.

Schöner Hafen mit wundervollen An- und Aussichten. Besonders schön gegen Abend bei Sonnenuntergang, die Lichtverhältnisse sind wunderschön. Ein Restaurant ist in direkter Nähe.

Except for huge alterations on going in traffic/road system due to be complete in 2025 I recommend Hull as a Place of Interest & unexpected find. Steeped in History with fabulous museums & architecture in Old Town. It’s UK City of Culture this year 2022…. Museums free entry.
Lovely eateries, friendly locals although the reason we came to visit… The Cathedral (cliosed on the day we visited !!!) & particularly Wilberforce Museum of Slavery was closed for renovation I had a lovely day enjoying what was on offer, which was more than I expected!

It’s a beautiful area, lots of food and drink places. Cute ice cream places and a nice walk about. Close to other sites to see. For all ages.

We visited Hull marina twice during a short stay in the area. We were staying in a local hotel and the marina was a short walk from here via Murdoch’s bridge over the busy A63.
The marina is in an old basin presumably once forming part of the Hull docks complex. Shipping wishing to access the basin from the river Humber do so via a lock gate and so when the tide is ‘out’, the boats and pleasure craft are captive within.
As you walk around it is interesting to see some of the old warehouse buildings have been repurposed for more contemporary uses. The cobbled roadways, some still holding the rails and wagon turntables once used to move freight around the dock, and the bollards add to the atmosphere created by the sensitive re development of this area.
Works of art may be found in this area ranging from the puzzling ‘two fishermen’ to the touching statue of ‘immigrants’. If you follow the marina down to the River Humber, the visitor can gain some fine views over the water to New Holland in North Lincolnshire.
There are some nice commercial outlets to get food and drink around the marina and public toilets are available in Nelson Street.
We found the area to be very photogenic and certainly worthy of a visit of you are looking around Hull.

The marina areas is vibrant and busy during our visit - there are plenty of lovely restaurants and bars in this area.

Hull is full of beautiful bridges and you can see a few at the marina, as well as nice yachts. plenty of coffee shops to visit during the day and some excellent restaurants. could do with some nice cocktail or wine bars that are open in the evening

Hull is definitely up and coming and when you are in town as we were, a visit to the marina is a must…. Wander around and take in the impressive architecture of the new sky bridge, wander the quayside bars and restaurants too or just go to the sea wall

If you want to overlook the marina then the Holiday lnn is perfect, have stayed there twice, there is also a Holiday lnn next to the railway station so be carefull to choose the right one 👍
