Beautiful, peaceful and tranquil well worth dropping in whilst in the area. Lots of good walks locally and lots to drop in and see and this place is one of them

I like to walk through here when we come to the village. There is always something new to see or remember from previous visits. And this year, daffodils were in bloom for us! A nice change as we usually come August or September!

This small garden next to the church is undoubtably best when the daffodils are out. There were just a few snowdrops in early February but it was still nice to stroll through. It literally takes five minutes but you are likely to linger on the path which is made up of paving stones with the names and locations of people who have contributed to the garden. Interesting to see all the different places as far away as Canada and New Zealand!

Just a short walk, but nice to read all the plaques on the ground from people all over the world that visited. Lovely little garden

Wordsworth Daffodil Garden is a small garden just behind the famous gingerbread shop. The poet’s grave (remarkably humble) is in the churchyard of St Oswald’s Church that overlooks the gardens.
There are a couple of information boards in the garden and interesting paving made up from hundreds of flagstones contributed by peoples from all over the world. There is a small marble plaque near to the river. Unless having a picnic or sitting for a rest with a bit of gingerbread (as we did) there's not a lot to see in these very small gardens so only allow 5-10 minutes to have a quick look around. We visited in June and there were no flowers to be seen.
Parking is available at Stock Lane Carpark, LA22 9SJ at opposite side of Grasmere, so at most 10 minutes walk away. Cost of £8 for all day. There are 2 electric charging points here.

This is new since our last visit to Grasmere. I was on my own while grandad and boy were mountain climbing. I came across this spot while wandering round Grasmere and reminiscing. A lovely place for my picnic lunch

Pour les inconditionnels du poète romantique Wordsworth ce petit jardin est une jolie découverte. Cela fait partie de la découverte de Grasmere. Cela prend 15 minutes. On peut aussi voir les tombes de la famille du poète au pied de l'église

Thoughtful and quiet gardens adjacent to the parish churchyard and near the gingerbread shop. As befits Wordsworth it has an impressive array of daffodils in late March and early April. The poet’s grave (remarkably humble) is in the churchyard that overlooks the gardens.

This small garden is part tribute to William Wordsworth and garden of remembrance with memorial paving stones. Lots of daffodils are planted in the garden as you would expect for one named after Wordsworth. The gardens are pretty and more so because it’s adjacent to the River Rothay with lovely views. William Wordsworth is buried in the grounds of St Oswalds church, which also owns these gardens. Take in a lovely walk, then pay tribute to a fine poet and writer.
