Went on a Woods coach to Belgium for the Ypres Salient tour with Leicester History Group. Paul, our coach driver went above and beyond, he was very helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. His driving was excellent, even in tricky situations on narrow Belgian roads. He always looked out for the comfort and safety of us passengers. The coach was quiet and comfortable too! Highly recommended!

Lion King trip

Myself and my wife used Woods for a day trip to see Lion King in London 23rd November 22.
The coach arrived on time at the pick up point and we were greeted by our very friendly driver Simon. The coach was very clean and tidy.
Simon was very informative and gave us all the necessary details for our trip.
Pick up at the end of our visit was again very well handled by Simon, making sure that everyone was OK.
A comfort stop on both legs of the journey was most welcome.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woods and we will definitely use them again, especially with drivers like Simon, who is a credit to the company.

Disaster day trips

I booked a trip for my friend and myself to Doncaster for a craft fair. Waited ages at the pick up point no sign of a coach found out later the trip was cancelled and no one told me. Booked again for Bristol Aerospace was told 9:30 pick up. My friend phoned woods to check the trip was still on and they said it was 8:30 pick up. We got to the pick up point and guess what it was a 9:30 start. Even the coach driver was given the wrong time. Personally I think the whole trip was not very well organised. I will not be traveling with them again. Then to cap it all I had a travel ticket in the post the day after the trip had taken place saying be at your pick up point for 8:30. I will not be booking with them again.

Booked a day trip with Woods to Bristol Aerospace, had to cancell because of a medical problem, notified Woods 10 days before the trip and was shocked and angry to learn that I was to lose 50% of the trip price, admittedly the information is in their terms and conditions when you can find it but surely it should be front and centre on the booking form.
I am not booking anything with them again and advise others to be aware of this ridiculous penalty for cancellation.

Wood coaches in particular driver Paul has made this trip one that is second to none . Helpful polite , interested in whether you’ve enjoyed yourself or not . Driver was safe , and coach clean at all times . Thankyou woods see you again !!

Day trip to Stratford with River Cruise and afternoon tea.
When the itinerary arrived it lacked information so wasn’t sure what to expect.We arrived at the boat company in Stratford. we had an hour to kill before boat trip which was fine, as 4 of us sat with a bottle of wine by the river it was a lovely day.
The boat trip was pleasant enough, all we saw was some fabulous water front properties, motored for 3/4 hour then returned to the starting point. It was the company that made the trip lovely bunch of ladies.
Fortunately the boat skipper offered to drop us off at the venue for the afternoon tea
good job because we weren’t sure where we were going. As I say intinerary lacked information.
Afternoon tea at RSC, lovely building, fabulous view, tea disappointing, it consisted of a cream/ jam scone and a cup of tea. I think we all expected a little more like a sandwich🤨
The tea didn’t take long so we had time to walk into the town for pleasant walk round before catching coach back.
Although we had a very pleasant day, I feel this particular trip for what is was, was over priced.

Christmas lunch coach trip

Booked the tour to Thurston 10th Dec 2021 the tour was going great until the lunch break at Ffolkes Hotel the place was good but the food was inedible. It was supposed to be Christmas dinner the Turkey was over cooked and dry the veg was uncooked and cold the Brussels shot of the plate when trying to cut them the Yorkshire puddings were something between cardboard and plastic sent it back was offered a fry up as alternative declined they gave me a gin and tonic to compensate the Christmas pudding was good but had been under the hot lights to long as the custard was burnt onto the plate.
Can't understand why Woods Coaches would risk their reputation using a lunch stop like this.
We will be going to Thurston next year but by car.

Coach booked 6 November had to cancel due to my partner waiting for a covid 19 test result which came on 4 November test was negative but he was ill with flu woods refused to give a refund as we cancelled less than 7 days notice how does that work? My advice is don't get ill

RHS Wisley Flower Show 11 September 2021

This was an excellent location for a day out which I thoroughly enjoyed which was made perfect by the weather. I would highly recommend this for future years and would definitely go again should the trip become available. Also thanks to the friendly and helpful driver Paul.
