Myself & my partner visited the exhibition via the tube. It was very confusing which stop to get off at.
We thought we got off at the correct one & spoke to staff on site & they advised we should have got off the stop before.so we would have to walk right through the car park to get there. It is not very well signposted , us & some others were all looking for the entrance & when we got to what we thought was the entrance we was told we needed to go back through the car park but given more directions. So we finally found the entrance.
They check. Our bag on arrival. You are unable to take drinks/ food or umbrella’s in, my umbrella was inside my small rucksack & the lady said this was ok but not to remove it from my bag. No idea why I would when it was all inside.
You enter & get given headphones for the exhibition & there is testing points to make sure they work & you can use the,
The exhibition itself was a little confusing as they were number & had dates. However when you moved to the next one, it had information for the dates you had just read.
However that said it was very Informative & interesting to F1 fans. Which we both are.
We both enjoyed it & my partner paid to do the simulation at the end & loved that bit.
Has a Jenson Button fan , I was disappointed that there was no mention of him at all!
The gift shop is well overpriced. My partner looked at a top that was £70. But you can buy it on line for £40.
You could have your photo’s taken at 2 points but it didn’t say how much they were, we didn’t bother,

My daughter and I are huge fans of the TV series so to be honest, we would always enjoy this exhibition. It was well organised and groups were given time limits to have their pictures taken on different sets. The staff managed this very well. The little café was nice but expensive. The photographs were expensive as was the shop but it was worth it as my daughter really enjoyed going on the set replicas such as the girls apartment and the coffee house. It was definitely a unique activity. I must for all fans of the series.

Visited with my mum on Monday. We hired a locker (£2.50) for our coats & bags. It was warm inside, so we're glad we did.
I'd booked the sim, which I enjoyed. It's a lot more expensive to pay on the day.
We read most of the boards, watched all of the videos & it took us exactly 2 hours. Some bits are very technical, so I'd say not suited to kids.
Gift shop was ridiculous prices. A Verstappen t-shirt I got over a year ago for £15, was £40! A magnet £10. Didn't buy anything.
We both enjoyed it.

Do not visit if you need accessibility services!!!
This place does not cater for those in wheelchairs or poor mobility as advertised and the lack of signage within the area is shocking

We, all four are F1 fans and were looking forward to a great family day out. We duly booked our tickets which were not the cheapest but what really spoilt it from the start was the £3 each "booking fee" for booking an online ticket. Do you really expect us to accept a 10% fee for doing... well nothing, after all, I input the details, recorded the ticket details to facilitate entry and payment was made in advance. Honestly I was struggling to understand how this can be justified until my son explained, remember Oasis and people paying over 100% above the face value, perhaps you should consider yourself lucky! Fees driven by greed I am afraid

Was disappointed in the last section. Pit Stop - a single real pit stop wall in an actual saying what they were looking at would have been far more interesting

I'm a huge F1 fan and enjoyed the experience itself but I am furious with the company that manages the ticketing. I purchased a simulator session for all of us but the staff did not allow my youngest son to use the simulator. Although he met the minimum height by over 10cm (and there was no disclosure about height requirements at the time of booking anyway), he was not able to use his session. I have contacted Fever who manages the ticketing process and they said they cannot help with a refund for his session, blaming it on the return policy of the Exhibition. I explained that my request was pursuant to statutory rights, not refund policy, as I paid for a service that wasn't rendered but they refused to do anything. It's only £15 but it's the principle that they have literally stolen money from me and have no accountability for it.

I wanted to go but thought the tickets were expensive, but then given as a gift. Went on 2nd September at 11.30am, man on door said no food and drink (not even water!!) the exhibition was not the best but you had headphones on all time with audio commentary - the information was excellent but i thought it lacked something? If you are an F1 fan it was great, but unfortunately i am and this did not meet with my expectations to warrant to high price of the ticket at £35 plus a £3.55 booking fee. Luckily i get free transport.
There’s no were to get water as you’ve emptied you bottle out to come in and after almost 2 hours your gasping ( luckily not a hot day) the end there is a summary of F1 in the pit lane and to be honest Don’t go to the front stay at the back so you can see everything.
Then comes the shop………………… a postcard of a track @ £5, magnet @£10, key ring @£5, Pen @£8. Nothing reasonable and therefore better to get elsewhere - so expensive if you add onto your ticket price?
I thought they would have had a brochure/programme of the event !!

Went with young children (3, 9 and 10) and 2 adults.
For F1 fans it is a must see, with great exhibits including championship winning and legendary cars on show. There are multiple reading and media clips available in each section as well as large selection of helmets and other non car equipment for viewing.
The finale is a pit wall experience which again fans will enjoy though is a viewing experience more than anything else.
Then it is onto the customary gift shop and exit.
Unfortunately plenty of negatives, starting with the target audience which clearly isnt children- maybe older 12+ so wish they would impose an age restriction.
You cant bring any food drink or bags into the exhibition, rather provide lockers at a cost (as if there is a choice to pay!).
The exhibition is pretty small, 4 maybe 5 sections which you can go through very quickly if not busy or dont read everything or watch every clip.
The pit wall is made to look like something worth waiting for but isnt.
The racing simulator is a row of arcade style machines, maybe better than home computing but nothing to regret about if missing out.
Gift shop isn’t hilariously expensive, i say hilariously in that there are basic items at 5 times usual value. Most if not all just labelled with the exhibition prints.
Overall should have been a lot more interactive and immersive though probably thinking too much from a childs perspective.

The exhibition itself was good, and my husband definitely nerded out on all the engineering aspects of it. But the venue itself was a disappointment.
1) It was a humid day, and apparently there was supposed to be air con, pretty much non existent.
2) The main Excel boulevard was shut, so if you want food, there’s 2 small coffee vans, a small Starbucks & a Taco restaurant? Very disappointing.
3) The entrance is the far side to the DLR platforms.
4) The exhibition is upstairs but the toilets are downstairs, and unless you ask, there’s no access to toilets before you go into the exhibition.
5) Finally the gift shop is extremely expensive, £5 for a standard postcard and £10 for a fridge magnet!!??

Hi, does anyone know the best/cheapest place to park near Excel? It’s next Sunday 10am to 5pm.

I use the JustPark app, but to get the cheapest prices you need to book early. So I’m visiting ExCeL on Friday and managed to get a parking space for £7 for the day and it’s a 5 minute walk to the venue.

A lot of the thing in the Excel are quite expensive so as a lot of other people have mentioned I would suggest getting something before going into the Excel as there are several newsagents located on the Street off the green in front of the Excel theres even a bus that serves pancakes and waffles so I would say you shouldn't have to wory about where or if you can take food in to the venue coz theres probably more places outside the venue which as I say are cheaper to get a take away and what I can suggest if your looking for somewhere to eat is if you go round near the Crystal which is just past the Emirates airline sky lift theres an area to the left where people open water ski and swim and to the right of that is a Thai Restaurant

hi, does anyone know if original bus tour comes any near point to excel London? I have planned a bus tour and thinking it might be good if I can cover Avengers on the same day .

DLR is your best bet it stops almost outside.
Didn't see any tour buses or stops nearby

There are public areas where you can eat your own food and there are lots of outlets selling a range of types of food.

At mcm comic con are you allowed to bring backpacks into the event, as I went to a different convention and we were told we couldn't enter the venue if we had a backpack.

Each event will vary on organiser. Last few times I went it was fine but backpacks were opened and searched. May be worth an email to comic con. Let me know what you find out please as my daughter is going and taking a back pack as she is staying overnight in London so she can do both nights.
