I really enjoyed myself! It was a challenging expierience and we had a fun time solving the mysterys within this room. On top of the fun time in the rooms and solving the puzzles, the service was amazing. The woman who was speaking to us was very polite. I would 100% recommend these escape rooms to people who are looking for a fun challenge!

Great family activity. We didn't manage to escape - one of the clues in the sherlock Holmes room was far too tricky until we got a hint (the grid clue) but by then it was too late.
The staff member was very welcoming and helpful. Would of been good to have a count down clock in the room that's my only criticism.
We will definitely be back to try one of the other rooms and would recommend to friends and family.

First time for us and we really enjoyed it staff were welcoming and had to help with clues a few times . I would definitely recommend as it was a great experience will be booking again next time with the family

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience at Project Escape yesterday, which was disappointing considering all of the great reviews.
Firstly, finding the place was difficult. It is located on a dim-lit alleyway which was quite scary to walk along in the dark with gangs of people lingering along it. There is a small unlit sign for Project Escape; we buzzed the intercom and waited a while with no response. I then called their phone number and a member of staff walked down the street to us to direct us around the corner to a random back entrance with no clear signage that it was also for Project Escape.
The briefing before the activity was disorganised, in a room which had clutter in the corners.
The Dark escape room itself was fun! It was very cold and creepy. The only major downside to it was that there were no time reminders given throughout, so when a member of staff entered in the end to tell us that our time was up, it felt like an abrupt finish. Normally, I'd expect the host to give a 30 minute and/or 10 minute warning, which would encourage us to ask for clues to help escape on time.
Overall, I was not impressed by the location or professionalism, and will not be returning.

Another fantastic Escape Room.
We tried with two of us and didn't manage to get out, but we still had a lovely time and would certainly reccomend!
Really interesting mix of puzzles and great host!

Although we struggled to locate the door to the entrance we eventually managed to find the entrance (you have to go through the Putter Chaos’ door) we was greeted by a woman named Beth, she was very welcoming and explained the rules and health and safety to us promptly and was very kind.
During the escape room we encountered a puzzle we weren’t sure of, but Beth was amazing at giving us a hint to keep us back on track.
The escape room itself was extremely well themed with dynamic lighting, plenty of puzzles and even had a crawl space you had to enter to continue the puzzle.
A downside to the experience was a puzzle that required the use of your smell to decipher a code. All the members of our team couldn’t tell any of the smells apart and resulted in us not being able to continue the escape room and unfortunately lost us the win. Other than that, we had an amazing time there and we will definitely be back to attempt the other rooms available!

As a family we love doing escape rooms and have done quite a few. My dad and brother are also Middlesbrough Fc fans so we booked the Middlesbrough escape room for father’s day. The staff were lovely and provided us clues whenever we needed them. We managed to escape with around 10 minutes left on the clock and all agreed it was great. The staff explained this is one of their seasonal rooms so would be going soon, and that they have some more impressive ones as well. We soon came back to the stranger things escape room and it was SO GOOD!! The ideas for the clues are genius and it was so impressive having a literal life-sized Vecna statue and an exact replica of one of the rooms as the upside down. It had a Hawkins lab style room, an upside down room and two Creel mansion rooms. The staff were there whenever we needed clues and loved scaring us while we were doing the room, and we managed to escape with around 5 minutes left. Definitely recommend as it is great fun!!

What a great time we had trying to escape from the upside down! My adult children and their partners had the best time working out the intricate, tricky and at times spooky challenges. It was great fun, we beat the clock and only had to ask for help a few times! The guy who did our welcome was very entertaining and a great advocate for the visit. Already planning our next family visit, cheers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Julie

An excellent Stranger Things inspired room, "The Upside Down", is another great addition to Project Escape's collection of rooms. It's a challenging game, but well put together with plenty of quirky surprises. You don't need to be a fan of the TV show, but it helps. Great fun to play. We escaped with a minute to spare...
