Dr Crank connecting Ghosts of the past with Dracula.

Great fun, interspersed with some fab historical facts - and some “minor” elaboration to the facts about Whitby’s spooky past. Laughs squeals and the need to scream make this a fun packed tour to those who are happy absorb the atmosphere and join in the fun. Thanks very much to Dr Crank for an entertaining evening

Dr Crank's walking ghost walk was not only worth the £7 per person- It was a masterful and informative night walk.
He imparted a wonderful walk that was an amazing aray of knowledge surrounding the Whitby folklore. It was also sprinkled with anecdotal and humorous heresay.
Be prepared to be taken on a journey of suspense and looking over your shoulder too.
Great walk and thoroughly recommended.

Super interesting, insightful and spooky!!

We went on a guided ‘In Search of Dracula’ tour led by Claire, and are very very glad we did! Claire was a brilliant storyteller and very knowledgeable about all things Dracula. As we walked through the welcoming streets of Whitby, Claire pointed out areas that appeared in Bram Stoker’s Novel, told us of interesting societal and historical influences to the book and some surprising facts about the author. Whilst I had read the book, my partner hadn’t yet, and yet we both absolutely loved the tour just the same! Of course, it wasn’t all informative - Claire managed to create a truly eerie atmosphere with her spooky storytelling that left us looking over our shoulders for ghosts and spirits 👻 We opted for the private tour as if was during the off-season that we visited Whitby, and the price was actually extremely reasonable for the two of us, so I’d recommend it to other couples. In fact, I’d recommend to anyone when visiting this wonderful town! As a bonus, we were able to bring our dog with us. This was such a great opportunity to learn more about the town, culture and, of course, Bram Stoker’s Dracula 🧛🏻

Dr Cranks magical mystery tour of ghost history in the stunning Whitby!

Absolutely amazing. Dr Crank was informative, extremely knowledgeable, charismatic and hella funny!
The 75 minutes flew by and we had so much fun! After visiting Whitby 10+ times before, I still learnt some really cool things. DEFINITELY recommend and will be going again next time we're in town!

We had the pleasure of joining Dr Crank on his ghost walk in Whitby, absolutely loved it. We took 3 children, ages 6, 8 & 11 & they loved all the stories & spooky tales! Would definitely recommend, a really informative & fun evening in Whitby, with lots of places to revisit & look out for in day light hours too. Thank you 😊

Supernatural enlightenment with Dr Crank

I invited Dr Crank to come and tell some spooky tales to me and the guests at my birthday party, which was being held at La Rosa hotel in Whitby. We sipped cocktails and hung onto his every word. We were entertained, chilled and educated by his fantastic tales of historical wrongdoings and supernatural happenings in the town. After he left, my friends all said how amazing he had been and that it was the best start to our spooky themed party. We all highly recommend spending time with Dr Crank, who is a fine orator with a head full of dark tales. Thank you Dr Crank, we highly appreciated you. You are the best!

Great Ghost Walk

Clair les our walk and was an amazing storyteller. Our walk was actually extended to two hours and we were on the tips of our toes throughout. Well done and highly recommend.

Dr Cranks ghost walk. Great value for money and Dr Crank was informative and funny! We found the pirates graves in St Mary's church the following day having walked up the 199 stairs not steps! Thank you from the 6 of us and the hell hound
that joined us for the walk...... otherwise known as Mabel the dashund ... would definitely recommend!

Amazing Walk!!

Dr Crank was amazing! a truly gifted storyteller, he bought you right into the tales, doing an amazing job of combining his words and the attractions around us to create a fully immersive environment. There was just the right amount of spookiness and comedy, imagine a ghost walk with a comedian! it is worth noting this is cash only, which may seem obvious! overall an amazing experience, and I’d love to watch this man get his own TV Show!!
