Booked the Sloth experience for my friends birthday treat and what an experience it was. Booking and admin by Hannah was simple, straightforward and efficient. The handler Barbara was so knowledgeable and made our visit all the better answering all our questions. It was an incredible experience and as my friend said, memories will be with us forever, such a special caring environment. Talita, our beautiful Sloth, was a complete star. Highly recommend the experience and hope to revisit the zoo at some future date.

We booked the Zebra encounter/experience at Heythrop, we had a great time feeding, stroking and grooming the zebras, whilst learning all about them. You could tell they were very well looked after and had a good relationship with staff. Staff member answered all our questions, told us about Heythrop in general and the animals. We didn't feel rushed and managed to get time for some photos and videos. The experience was much more than we expected and we left really happy. Next time we are in the area we would love to come back and see more of the animals. Thank you for a lovely time.

I booked a "tiger" encounter ss a birthday present for a family member. Hannah was so very helpful on the telephone, in emails and text messages when I first enquired. She always came back to me straight away with information, directions etc. Thank you Hannah ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
On the day we were greeted by Barbara, a very nice lady, who explained everything to us and escorted us in to meet Raja and Madras. Two absolutely stunning tigers. They looked so healthy and well cared for. It was an awesome time spent feeding them. An experience of a lifetime. Thank you Barbara for telling us about these beautiful animals, showing us what to do, and taking photos too ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I would highly recommend the tiger experience. Raja and Madras are unforgettable and the staff were very kind

Absolutely incredible, went for the first time today to 5 encounters, the sloth, tiger, penguins,monkeys and hippos. All of them were superb, interesting for both adults and kids and worth every penny. Our guide - Barbara- was also outstanding and told us very interesting facts about the animals throughout. Strongly recommend to everyone.

Booked a large 100 people group and we absolutely loved it, one of our best ever educational trips. I am so thankful to the staff it was a lovely day out and we will be going back. I fully endorse anyone to book a private exclusive visit to this venue!

Booked the Zoo tour plus the sloth experience for my daughters 15th and son's 22nd birthdays.Also took my 10 Yr old niece and my husband came as well.Had the most amazing time Arron was a great guide friendly and informative .What a fantastic experience to feed the penguins who were super cute and the majestic tiger Raj .We will definitely be revisiting.

While on holiday at the Cotswolds a friend and I visited Heythrop Zoological Gardens for a Sloth Encounter. It was marvellous, I couldn't imagine a more wonderful Experience. We met Talia the Sloth Talita who was very at ease with us, we fed her and she just went to sleep after eating and loved having her tummy stroked.
This is not a traditional zoo, it is a private zoo which trains animals for film and TV work. The animals were born in captivity and are very used to humans. You have to book experiences via their Facebook page or web site in advance and obey all their rules. There is no entrance at the door, only prebooked visits.
We saw other animals there and they appeared very at ease and comfortable. The lady who showed us round was very knowledgable on Talita's needs and was very devoted to her.
Later in my stay I visited for a Tiger Encounter with their two Bengal Tigers Raja and Madras. I fed Raja meat on a stick, he was easy going and relaxed. Madras had been fed that day so wasn't so interested in food but Raja was keen. To be so close to such beautiful relaxed creatures was marvellous.
I would like to do some more of their encounters next time I'm in the Cotswolds.

An experience I will never forget. I have always loved Sloths and when I discovered Heythrop Zoo Experiences my dream came through to meet and feed one. Talita, 2 toed sloth was amazing and the team, Barbara giving a wonderful insight on sloths and Hannah with the admin side and arranging were both excellent. Feeding Talita and stroking her and being up close felt relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you all.

Thankyou for helping us celebrate a friends 50th Birthday. Bewolf is a amazing beast, we were allowed to walk him, and tickle his tummy. We were made to feel totally at ease

I don’t work there but I think we paid £100 and the experience is 20 minutes just you (and someone to watch and take photos) and it was absolutely and utterly magical

Hello,
It was £100 for my daughter (21) and £20 for me to watch and take pics. Worth every penny. She loved it - I didn't want to touch the sloth!! They then showed us all around the rest of the animals on our way out. Fabulous present for anyone. (not small children though - check age restrictions)

It varies a few years ago they had a circus there. They have fixed times when you can visit a lion training session there are lots of other animals that you can visit at your own time I am usually there about two hours. They have their own website which will give you more info

No they don't allow dogs, i asked this and they said particularly in the summer months if they find out you have left them in the car they will turn you away.
