We popped in here for 30 mins on an afternoon. The inside of the church is very nice with stained glass windows,there was choir practice at the church which was quite nice listening to.Didnt go to the cafe or climb the tower. Free of charge.

We managed to climb half an hour before closing to admire the splendid view of Oxford from above to sunset, with shadows falling over the university town and the silence taking over the city, taking us "back in time".

Amazing experience and view! Wee did not trip over luckily or injure our knee. You also need to be a slim Jim, the stairs are quite narrow, make sure you don’t fall off! Highly recommended it. 😁😊😁

Excellent tour! Our guide, Magnus, was an expert in the whole of Oxford. It is a marvellous city with a lot of history, you'll get a general view of the city and particularly you'll get to visit the Divinity School where a Harry Potter film's sequence was filmed. It's a tour which I recommend to do.

Before ascending the tower it was great to see the lovely church and its fabulous interior. As the official university church since the 1200s there is so much history and tradition here.
Marvellous architectural designs are to be seen in the exquisite stone work, both inside and out.
Along the nave is a glorious vista with slender columns and arches leading to the altar that has a magnificent stained glass window as a backdrop.
On the tower ascent it was interesting to see the Paris Clock mechanism from 1741 that was the first such to have a dial on the outside. Up to then people could tell the time by counting the chimes.
With perfect viewing conditions it was rewarding to see the tremendous panoramas from the top. Taking in the gorgeous buildings and cityscapes.

This is a beautiful, peaceful church, very historic and an excellent place to escape the crowds and contemplate the more important aspects of life. Don't skip the tower; the climb is relatively easy, and you will enjoy seeing those amazing gargoyles and grotesques up close. Then have a bite to eat at the Vaults & Garden, an amazing, inexpensive casual restaurant on the north side of the church where you walk inside to order and then select your seat inside or outside. It offers a wide selection and much-needed refreshment to the weary traveler who needs a little break from pub life.

The church itself is similar to many other churches in Oxford. However, the church tower is well worth a visit. Be aware that the climb is quite steep. The staircase is very narrow, and there are many stairs. But you get rewarded with one of the best views across all of Oxford and even the landscape beyond town.

The church is lovely enough but the real fun is buying a ticket and climbing incredibly narrow (some might even say claustrophobic) stairs to the top of the church. I've climbed my share of European stairs (I love heights), but these just might be the narrowest I've seen. Absolutely no way you can pass someone coming the other direction - one party has to go up or down and duck into a small cubby hole to allow the other to pass. Great fun actually and something kids would especially enjoy.
At the top you have panoramic views of Oxford - and especially the Radcliffe Camera and Bodleian Library directly below. And the gargoyles - there are lots of them and they're quite humorous.
