Sicuramente in una bella giornata, questa é una passeggiata da non perdere. Si cammina lungo le rive del fiume, per arrivare a questa chiusa del Tamigi, che dicono sia la più antica.

walked over the lock every morning into Oxford. Luckily for us it was being opened on ne morning. Lovely walk.

This place is special. It takes me back to my childhood, and fortunately hasn't changed. It's lovely just to sit and watch the water world float by, in and out of the lock, and the lock-keeper's house and garden are stunning. Love it.

My husband and I took a Afternoon Tea River Cruise that sailed to Iffley Lock from Oxford downtown, the senary was beautiful. It was raining, so it was quiet, no other tourists' boat out there, only few locals walking or biking, very peaceful.

We were staying at the nearby Mercure and on our last morning we enjoyed a walk down to the lock. It is a great place to visit on a sunny day and you can do a nice circular walk from the hotel.

This is a wonderful place to visit on a nice sunny day. A walk along the river with a stop at the Lock is a relaxing way to spend a couple of hours in Oxford.

Grandson has to visit each time he stays with us.

lovely 3 mile ish walk along the riverside. beware to go over the folly bridge at oxford so you are on the correct side because if you go on the boathouse side the path runs out. beware the many cyclists who dont alert you theyre coming. suggest you walk nearest the hedge not the riverbank!!! nice solid path all the way.
we got the yellow oxford bus back from iffley having downloaded the excellent oxford bus app and buying good value dat tickets.
lovely lunch too at prince of wales in iffley.
