What a great place to visit, we visited on the 22nd and 23rd April. Not too many people there and we were able to stop and talk, everyone we spoke to from the Chemist to the Baker etc were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their jobs. It certainly enhanced our visit, we were there for a lot longer than we expected. I can definitely recommend the fish and chips (a memory of days gone by). We finished our visit by going to the Coalport China Museum the second day, well worth a visit and just as good as the visit to the village. They should be commended for all the effort they put in to ensure you enjoy your visit.

Really enjoyed our recent visit to Ironbridge as it's been a while since I was there and this time I had children to bring along. We started at Blists Hill and decided that given it was £75 for two adults and two children for the day, we'd get the Pass for £86 and take in Enginuity as well. The weather was a bit wet to really make the most of being outside, but it's an enjoyable and informative visit with characters to tell you more. We changed some money in the bank (£5 is recommended) and our children bought some sweets and candles and had money to bring back as a memento. We had a picnic and were allowed to eat in the cafe as it was wet outside which we were grateful for. We did buy some drinks in there, but at £19 for two cups of tea and 3 bottles of fizzy, it's not cheap. After a good three hours there, we travelled over to Enginuity which my youngest loved and then the Museum of Iron which was really excellent. As we were staying close by, we took advantage of the Pass to come back the following day to the Jackfield Tile Museum which again was very worthwhile.
My only issue is that even though we paid £86 for our tickets you still have to pay for parking at £1 per hour. We paid £7 in parking fees altogether, which I thought a little steep.

Beautiful wee town that’s worth a visit. Plenty of tea shops and pubs for lunch and refreshments. The bridge looks stunning last told I visited it was being refurbed. If visits lists of museums get the pass as will save you a fortune.

Very friendly staff and loads to see. Really interesting. Lots of lovely exhibits. This museum was the best one to really tell the story of the whole area and all the famous industrial pioneers. Open all year round unlike some of the other sites.

Enjoyed Ironbridge but didn't visit any museums as dogs weren't allowed, it was still worth going though and the pork pies from the pork pie shop were delicious!

After paying to visit the site, you do not expect to pay for parking on top of this, it is disgraceful.

We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is a charity entirely dependent upon visitor income. The revenue generated through our car parks helps us to continue our important heritage preservation and education work.
Our parking charges are both reasonable and in-line with those levied by similar attractions in the sector; at £1/hour upto a daily maximum of £5 per car park.
Thank you for visiting the museums and we hope you will return again in the future.

Clearly stated as one payment covers all car parks and we paid the full amount of £5 but apparently, according to the company that enforces that is not correct and you have to pay in all car parks. They can see we have paid £5 but because we did not enter number plate details in both car parks we are liable for a £35 charge. This has ruined an otherwise perfectly nice visit. The entry price already felt very high. We will not go back to be ripped off again!

We are sorry to hear about your experience. We do clearly state on our website, in our car parks and at payment points that our car parks are charged independently. Each car park has a daily maximum £5 charge, but this only applies to the car park in which the vehicle is parked, and is not transferable to our other car parks. We are however, pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the museums.

Loved the Broseley Pipeworks - I visited the previous year and the tour was done by this amazing young man called Dylan. What he doesn't know about the Pipeworks isn't worth knowing! I booked my trip this year around doing the tour at Broseley but unfortunately he did not do the tour I was on, but he was there to speak to. Went to Blists Hill the next day and he was in the Squatters Cottage and again, he knew so much about it. For such a young man, he is a huge asset to the museum - hope they realise!

From the village main carpark you can catch a bus to Blists Hill Victorian Town. All the sites are walkable in reality, although they can take 5 to 45 minutes on foot depending upon which site. Stunning scenery. Taxis are very cheap too so it’s all very easy!
