A walk to view the town, castle and local wildlife. Shared our walk with locals and dog walkers ending up a cafe near the castle entrance for coffee. Superb.

Visited on May Day bank holiday weekend. Ludlow was REALLY busy, but up here on the common, it was still peaceful. Free parking on the road (lay-by) and we managed to get a space even on this busy weekend! Amazing views of Ludlow, paths on the common and through the woods down to the river and on into Ludlow. Plenty of benches and places to picnic. Really lovely.

Probably one of the best views of Ludlow and Ludlow Castle, with amazing views of the South Shropshire hills. Easy walks along the river and plenty of benches to sit and relax.

Lovely walks: fabulous views over the town and river. No signage or indicators to speak of. The Breadwalk along the river bank has a decent surface: other paths may be muddy or slippery when wet.

Wonderful!!! The view is across the river with the old stone arched bridge in the foreground, and the turrets and towers of Ludlow Castle rising up behind. Perfect!

Enjoyed a few days staying at the Whitcliffe Camp Site. This small family friendly site has amazing views of Ludlow and the surrounding area. There is an enjoyable walk (downhill) into Ludlow. Ludlow is a lovely town with all the shops, cafes, bars and a market a few times a week. A great place to explore.

If you want the typical picture postcard view of Ludlow then this is the place to come and see it on a clear day. It is south of the river and the town, but walking distance from the town itself. During the winter I would it imagine it gets quite muddy, so wear suitable shoes, but it provides a very easy, meandering walk through a woodland area, offering lovely views of Ludlow itself

After a fab lunch at a pub near Ludford Bridge we took the rough steps up to the path leading up to the Common & along the Teme Riverside.
Not an especially tricky walk, it gave us great views over the river, Ludlow & it's castle.
The path pops out at Dunham where you can recross & stop off at CSons Cafe on the Green.
Great little walk.
