Proper Pub, very friendly locals and no stranger feels unwelcome! Regular Tap beer excellent with changeable but good "Guest" beer. Cider is Traditional from not far away!

This is a wonderful little pub serving great beer with a really friendly atmosphere. If you want phones, TV screens and music it’s not for you. Like going back in time. We love it.

This pub isn't going to be for everyone.
No phones. No music. No swearing. Just perfect as far as we were concerned!
Visited in the Summer and during the Xmas period whilst on a weeks visit.
If you like very well kept beer, a natter with the friendly locals and staff and the 'feel' of how pubs were and lots more should be make it a must on your visit list.
We certainly hope to return.

The Blood Bay is a superb traditional pub in the centre of Ludlow with 3 cask ales offered. In order to show off the beautiful handpumps, the clips showing the beers are displayed separately on the wall behind the bar. The pub is larger than first appears with hidden rooms and more seating behind the bar area and upstairs. It is friendly with conversation encouraged and strictly no mobiles or tablets. It is essential for any beer and pub lover to visit here when spending time in Ludlow. This is how all pubs should be !

Brilliant "step back in time" pub. No frills, but all the better for it. Recommended to us by a local and well worth a visit simply to enjoy how pubs used to be.

Not for everyone so dont go if you want to be on your phone or read the newspaper. No branding, no machines, no music, very few images on the wall,
A parlour pub that you are obliged to socialise in, as tourists we were made very welcome and the beer was outstanding.

A stunning, tiny 2 room pub, the like of which I haven’t seen outside of Ireland. Great real ale, really friendly staff and an ambience that instantly lowers the blood pressure. No music or fruit machines and, as far as I could tell, no food beyond crisps. While my wife and I where in there, it was curmudgeon-free and a baby slept blissfully in its buggy. Places like this are as rare as hen’s teeth and we must support them or lose something of real value.

We like to find these special pubs for that different experience, and we weren’t disappointed.Space is limited which is part of the charm, and you feel the history as soon as you walk in.
Welcomed by Amanda who was behind the small bar, we each had a scrumpy cider, and just settled down and chatted with Amanda and the handful of other patrons enjoying the character of the pub.
The choice of draught ale is limited and there is no lager.
Point to note, no phones allowed, which allows us all to just sit, relax and chat.
There is a small snug at the rear and going up the old wooden steep steps there is a lovely room upstairs.
The main bar is basic, old fashioned Victorian seating and adds to the charm.
Okay, not a pub all will enjoy, but we did, and with Amanda behind the bar adding to the charm we will return again very soon.
