I expected a few more stalls for the Saturday market, the ones that were there were okay but nothing to shout home about.

We visited on the Thursday leading up to christmas. The market is not very big, but there are a number of nice shops and charity shops around to wander through. in the market we found 10-12 stalls: cheeses (soft and cheddar like), pork pies, scotch eggs, cakes, honey products, alpaca wool products from a local farm, jams and sauces, apple juice etc. Lovely to buy some unique variety of local produce. Was intrigued by the goat cheese and lentil burgers and unusual scotch eggs. We spent over an hour there and spent £50+ between the 4 of us.

Disappointed with market, lively stall holders who were very friendly but expected to see more than about 10 stalls. Had looked on line before visiting f and was expecting more. What stalls where there were lovely

I like to support independent businesses. However, while the variety of cheeses available at the cheese stall on 03/09/2022 appeared good, unfortunately the seller either did not know her cheeses or was happy to sell cheeses containing animal rennet to a vegetarian. Such behaviour from the seller was sadly dishonest and disrespectful given that I had explained I specifically wanted to buy vegetarian cheese. I naturally won't be buying from there again.

Loved the market , everything you want & not lots of tacky stalls , actually things worth buying . Would Definatly visit again

Not huge, but there is a good cross section of stalls to mooch around and browse. The main market operates M W F Sat, on Sunday there is a flea market. Then on 2 Thursdays a month there is a Local to Ludlow market which is the showcase for local producers. So it's worth going more than once.

Ludlow itself is a great place to visit for the day but the market itself wasn’t particularly anything special.
Very small and not many stalls. They had one stall were we manage to buy some cufflinks made from pennies which were really different and a great present.
But otherwise wasn’t really much to see

ensure bank holiday market is not due as market is then cancelled and the town full of noise. and looses its character.

Lovely visit to Ludlow for the day on Monday, but beware, many shops are closed and only open Thursday to Sunday.
Spent a couple of hours here, walking around and visiting the independent shops and we visited the Carvells tea room which was very nice.
Parking very cheap at only 30p/hour at Smithfield Carpark. Lots of places, clean car park. Definitely recommend visiting again, but will aim for later in the week next time, and maybe will visit Ludlow Food Market / Festival.

A wide range of stalls with plants, cheeses, books, Gin, pottery, metal goods, etc. The market occupies the area overlooking Ludlow Castle and has active roads so take care. Parking and Public 20p 'fee paying' Toilets nearby. Very active traffic wardens! Prices were reasonable and the site was busy. Plenty of interesting shops overlook the 'square'. A food stall with seating was present.

Yes lots. We ate outside at Ludlow farm shop and the dogs were welcome.
Also cafe in town with outdoor seating and they were welcome inside the church!

I went to a market there in April, there were loads of people with dogs. Didn't find many dog friendly cafes but some had outside seating so I is probably ok to sit there with dogs but one pub ( sorry can't remember the name) was very dog friendly and gave a treat as soon as we walked in

Ludlow Market
A Local Producers Market (or farmers' market), organised by Local to Ludlow, is held on the second Thursday and fourth Thursday of each month. This has 20 or 30 stalls with producers selling food and drink from within a 30-mile radius of Ludlow.
Made in Shropshire Market is a monthly showcase for local artists, design-makers and artisan food producers from Shropshire. The market is usually held on the first Saturday of the month.
A variety of seasonal markets are held at appropriate times of the year including Ludlow Christmas Markets.

I really donor know. We stopped around 10:00am and it appeared to be in full swing. It was still going strong when we left at 2:00. I would guess it starts between 8:00 & 9:00.

Hi, we will be visiting family who have just very recently moved into the area ( so they don't know an awful lot about what is going on) have heard a lot of good comments about the market and wondered what days/times it runs also is there anything special occurring on the weekend of April 8/9.

I believe the market is on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays - No idea about the weekend of 8/9 April but I am sure there will be more info on the internet
In September there is an annual food fayre held in the town/castle and its a big attraction for local produce etc
