Dunster by candlelight was a huge disappointment- very little to see only one interesting sales stall which had lovely craft items for sale - just too expensive for Xmas gifts. Transfer from minehead was a ripoff

A pretty village in hilly country. Narrow high street but many little
Shops and if you want to stay over, ,any accommodations to choose from.

Wandered down here twice when visiting the castle. Lots of interesting and independent shops. Great ice creams.

If you are in the area, you really should visit Dunster village, a lovely old village. Have a wander of all streets, not just the main street. Tessa's does excellent food & wonderful cream teams.
A visit to Dunster Castle and grounds is a must, stunning. The views from some of the upstairs windows are fabulous. The gardens go on & on but so enjoyable to walk round.
Finish your visit by going for a walk along Dunster Beach.
We did all the above and had a wonderful day.
You pay to park to visit the castle & village (if going by car) & you pay to park at the beach.

Lovely small village with easy parking. Just dont go at lunchtime as most shops seem to shut for lunch, but nice selection of independent shops

Dunster never fails to delight me whenever I visit. It is a beautiful village and this time we had the good fortune to be visiting when they had a food market on in the Tithe Barn behind the church.

Dunster is a lovely village. A small selection of shops, but so much else to see, each time we go we discover something else...the village pound, the dovecote, the walks, the castle, the yarn market, the packhorse bridge, the waterwheel and the tower. One of our favourite places.

Lots of nice shops to browse around and an assortment of establishments to partake of refreshments.
Dunster is a small historic village, with lovely old buildings full of character such as the iconic Yarn Market, impressive Church and packhorse bridge.
A short walk takes you up to the splendid Dunster Castle.

Dunster is a very pretty quaint village found under the castle which is owned by the National Trust. A few very nice hotels to stay complete with some pleasant shops and tearooms. Parking is limited yet available in the main street. The village has some history complete with the Yarn Market found in the High Street. The buildings are very quaint and well maintained. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Dunster is such a lovely little village, full of independent shops and nice restaurants. Was really nice to wonder around on our way down from the castle. There is a good national centre where you can pick up maps for local walks, and a big car park with public toilets in. Definitely worth a visit.
