We were staying in Shrewsbury and found the museum by looking for things to do within an hour of us. I'm so glad we found it! We did the standard guided tour, we were lucky that the other two people booked on didn't turn up, so it was just us and our guide.
I love horror films and my husband has come to like them more whilst we've been together, and he enjoyed the museum almost as much as I did. Each room is based on a different horror genre and filled with items from (mostly) well known horror films and shows. We were told which were actual pieces from set and which had been recreated and why.
It was a lot of fun trying to remember where I recognised the different pieces from, I didn't realise I was quite so much of a horror geek!
I'm autistic and can find guided tour type things mega uncomfortable, but it wasn't at all once we got going. It was great to be shown around by someone who is so passionate about a subject, and she and I discovered a shared love for Crazyhead!
Accessibility-wise, it's in a house and there are regular stairs to the rooms upstairs, and quite narrow steps down to the cellar.
I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's at all a fan of the genre.

Really upset and disappointed with our treatment today. I drove 2 hours with my partner and our 2 teenagers 1 of which is disabled and so took a lot for him. To then be refused entry due to traffic which was communicated to you. You continued communication via text and not actually opening the door to discuss the matter after we had requested a refund which i find unprofessional given you're a business yet your messages were that of teenage responses the actual principle of this and your lack of understanding has been vile! I too will be reporting you and the way you "dealt" with my family.appalling service

Hi Jodie, our terms and conditions clearly state that you must arrive on time to your booking slot or risk forfeiting the slot (with no refunds given). After understanding you were running late we extended a 15-minute extension to your slot time that was extended to you to allow you to experience the museum, an extension was agreed upon by your group but it was 30 minutes after the allocated extended time we had offered you (and that you agreed to) until you showed up and after the quite frankly disgusting messages we received from a lady called Kelly in your group we will NOT tolerate any of our staff members being abused and harassed and we do not welcome or condone any of that behaviour at our museum.

Omg what can i say.100% we did the extreme scare experience absolutely amazing experience have been to the scare experience which was amazing but they have done even better.actors are amazing and brilliant 10/10 to them and craig and his team are brilliant and friendly.
Will defo be going back again and a halloween experience would be great

We really didn’t know what to expect so were pleasantly surprised by how well this had been put together. Sean was very knowledgeable and a great laugh too! Can’t wait to do the interactive day!!

Museum of horror , I’ve been to the museum of horrors a few times say the least I thought I knew what I was going to expecting ,
They have blown me away with my experience today , somethings I totally wasn’t expecting wow guys you lots are bloody brilliant , can I just say this is not for the light hearted people , you do have a safe word so you feel
In control the whole time , but OMG people you must come and test yourself at the horror museum you won’t be disappointed, ABSOLUTELY 10/10 GUYS
You were all absolutely brilliant

Today was my 4th live actor experience at the museum and the team keep raising the bar each time. Every experience has been different and today's was on another level. I'll definitely be back again to push my limits further.

Visited earlier today for a guided tour, and it was incredible from start to finish. The owner and guide was incredibly friendly, chatty and very knowledgeable on everything on display and horror in general! The theming of the rooms was amazing, there were a few photo opportunities, and even a couple of interactive elements which were a pleasant surprise and very fun! Overall, zero complaints and can't sing the praises of the museum and experience enough. An absolute must-visit for any horror fan!

What an experience. We went for a guided tour and i can honestly say it was a tour to remember. The owners are so lovely and very clued up on lots of interesting facts about movies, real life event, true crime etc… All the items were so interesting to see and hear about the background on some of the pieces. Wow! i would 1000% recommend this to any horror fan out there. I will most deffo be going again soon so much to see and take in. Thank you again for such an experience!

After having experienced both the daily guided tour and normal scare actor day, i can definitely say this is a must see for all horror fanatics. Massive props to all the people behind the museum of horrors, the love and passion that has gone into all areas of this is awe inspiring. I hope to be able to keep coming back to experience the new horrors these twisted minds can create.
Daily guided tour
Any one who loves memorabilia from horror films both new and classic can find so many things to gawk at in each of the specially curated rooms. I loved the touch of interactiveness in some of the rooms and how you can take your time to really appreciate every detail in each unique and highly themed room. Don't hesitate to interrogate the very friendly hosts for their extensive knowledge of the collection, theres so many facts and interesting stories to learn about each item.
Normal Scare actor day
Where to start. This is no normal scare attraction, think of it more as an immersive experience that is longer but also more fast paced and oh so much more beautifully brutal. Each room hosts a unique set of characters that will toy with you however they see fit, and toy with you they will. If your used to mazes where the actors touch you, this takes it to a whole another level! If excessive contact concerns you or if you have any medical issues you can always make they team aware when you book your session and they will keep your safety paramount, trust me even when they have you at their mercy it never feels unsafe. If your a little bit twisted like me ;P this is the perfect amount of hands on to really feel like you are part of a horror movie and to push your limits whilst having an absolute blast of an intense and chaotic time!
now to shout out all the amazing staff because they really bring this attraction to terrifying life. Front of house staff, really helpful and friendly before preparing us for our doom. 1st room, i really have to comend the vocal and phsyical work displayed by the actors, they really made use of the space in the room and commanded our attention with their sweet demonic voices. 2nd room, absolutely loved the wittyness and overall interactions really made it engaging. 3rd room, they really nailed the character work and built an uneasy tense atmosphere that was so different from the other rooms. 4th room, what can you say but they were the embodiement of carnage and chaos, and im all here for that!
I will definitely be back to witness what new twisted experiences are in store in the furure and I cant wait to see the museum go from strength to strength, they deserve it. 100% recommend anyone to come check out for themselves and to brave the scare actor day, its an experience like no other!

Disgraceful treatment from the owners. After arriving an hour early we met a group of older women who were celebrating what seemed like a 60+ birthday. First thoughts were ‘good on em’ still seeking thrills at their age. As they advised we had to wait until our allotted slot I asked if there were a pub close by as I needed to use the ladies. It was a long drive there after all. They advised we weren’t allowed to drink to which we joked with them. I was driving so couldn’t drink anyway. When we returned the group of ‘ladies’ who we had previously spoken to, had taken it upon themselves to tell the owners we had been drinking so the owners, with zero evidence of this. Point blank refuses us entry. They weren’t willing to even listen to us and had already made their mind up before we even approached the establishment. We tried to explain all we had was a Coke as it was a long drive and I needed to use the ladies. There was no evidence of us drinking. We were clearly not under the influence nor did we smell of alcohol. My only explanation for our treatment was discrimination as I have coloured hair, piercings and tattoos which clearly offended this group of post menopausal women to the point they took it upon themselves to ruin what should have been a great experience for us. I hope it made them feel big and happy about themselves to treat complete strangers this way and to tell the owners something they had zero evidence of. Shame on the owners for not even giving us the opportunity based on something a group of bitter old women had to say. Discrimination at its finest. Such a shame as we were planning on making a large group booking for a hen do in the near future. Such small minded bigoted people still exist in the world which we experienced first hand today. Shame on you

Message from Management:
Your feedback & review have been addressed. CCTV footage proves that outside the building you openly commented about going to the pub to drink & was made aware that no alcohol was allowed before the experience as clearly stated in the terms & conditions.
Picked up on CCTV audio we heard that you said you had chewing gum in the car to hide the smell of alcohol and that we wouldn't be aware.
We were made aware of this by another group visiting the experience & that the CCTV clearly showed that what they had told us was correct.
When staff addressed this with yourselves there was verbal abuse and aggression shown to them and that cannot be tolerated, another reason entry was refused.
Our main priority is the safety of all guests & staff & actors at the Museum that's why these steps are put into place.
