This just an amazing place. I had a card that gave me Free Entry to the House and Museum but the Chapel is Free all the time. I just think its incredible a place you go back to visit because its so unique and so lovely and easy to get to. If you love art then definitely worth going

Stunning Cemetery Chapel designed by Victorian artist, potter and designer Mary Watts with help from the local villagers who created the ornamentation from local clay. On a hill a shortish walk from the main Watts Artists Village. Not to be missed.

Watts chapel is amazing as ever but the tea rooms at the pottery was atrocious. After waiting outside in a que for 15 mins in the drizzling rain ,when there were empty tables inside. Tables were not cleared or cleaned inside to seat the que of customers. Finally got in. There were 4 of us. Eventually managed to get our order in. Long wait then 2 orders arrived. One with a pot of tea but no milk! Asked 2 different staff members for milk it eventually arrived but by then the tea was cold! Waited a further 15 mins to then be told they had run out of scones so we changed the order and had to wait a further 15 mins for it. The service was very poor, the customer service bad and we weren’t the only ones who were disgusted. Bad organisation, in fact no organisation.
Would not recommend the experience. How can they run a business like this.

The Watts chapel is something like you've never seen. I stood here in awe alongside my family just amazed by its beauty. I think everyone should go here to see its incredible art work and find out about its intriguing story.

Part of the Watts Gallery artists village complex, but can be visited for free. It's a short walk from the artist village complex or there is limited parking outside. It's a truly amazing and stunning work of art and so much more interesting for having visited their house Limnerslease first to get the detail and context. I'd seen it on a TV programme but wasn't ready for the surprise it gave me as we walked in. Not big, but it's worth sitting a while on the bench seating to appreciate it. Lights are on a timer. There are also guided tours. It is occasionally closed for events as it is still a working chapel.
It deserves to be better know.

It’s a small but very elegant building with magnificent art inside the detail inside it was so spectacular that one could spend hours inside taking it in. the surrounding area was a small graveyard that was not special in any particular but still was very nice and quiet place to walk and sit it would recommend.

This chapel really had the wow factor. The exterior is unusual, but the interior is just stunning. You can spend some time admiring the walls and wording. The terracotta benches outside are unusual as are all the tiles around the doorway. A must see.

I have been before but every time the chapel is stunningly and you can sit and notice things you haven't seen before. It is free but you do need to pay for the gallery just down the road. Lovely place with shop and cafe, good parking. There are tours of the Watt's home at certain times so do check a its worth going. Lovely day out
