A great venue to visit, the staff (volunteers) were extremely knowledgeable and shared some amazing stories of their past career in the force. A better than expected day out. Well done to all the staff!
Parking above Snowhill station was very handy.

Something a bit different in the centre of Brum (Birmingham). We’ll layed out and charting the history of policing and the lock-up. I found it interesting and spent a good 90 minutes. Seemed to be plenty of interaction stuff for the kids.

Definite recommendation.

A place to lock in your thoughts

I can't say it's nice as it's an actual prison wing in there - but very interesting and great staff to tell the stories for you. Loved it and will be back soon as I didn't have long enough to explore properly.

Spennende og lærerikt museum for små og store!

Et flott museum i et tidligere fengsel. God informasjon og hyggelige verter underveis som informerte og svarte på spørsmål. Oppgaveløsning med tolkning av spor funnet på et åsted som leder frem til den skyldige. Man kunne låne uniformer for fotografering og bra informasjon om historien fra begynnelsen og frem til i dag for politiet. Avslutter med en mini-butikk med suvernier og snacks. Anbefales!

Fun and interesting!

Went to the first SEN session and had a fab time! Staff were amazing (the lady who greeted us and said goodbye at the gift shop was so kind and chatty! I didn’t get her name but Thankyou so much, you made the experience for us!)
My boys said it was the best day ever and they can’t wait to go back!

Hidden gem of Birmingham

Didn't know what to expect, but we were truly surprised this magnificent building existed and the inside is amazing. It's wonderful inside, and they have over 70 cells and loads of information. We were there for 2 hours and the staff were friendly and informative. It's a remarkable place, hidden away within walking distance of the Crown Court, and definitely one to see.

A very enjoyable and informative experience

Along with two others over70 I visited the museum and thoroughly enjoyed the two hours we spent there - and we could have stayed longer. The experience was informative and fun, and the staff/volunteers were both friendly and knowledgeable. There was a school party present and they seemed to be as entertained as we were. The museum is clearly an ideal place for a family day out.

Amazing local history trip

Great visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit earlier this week. A very interesting and informative way to spend a couple of hours, history bought to life by a very enthusiastic and knowledgable team member. My son and his friend particularly enjoyed seeing the actual cells and solving the crime using forensics. Highly recommend a visit!

Cannot go wrong with this one!!

We booked this on a whim, not knowing what to expect. We were beyond pleasantly surprised!! Amazing building, so much to learn, very interactive and fun, volunteers were full of very informative information. 2 hrs well spent and great to see the building has not been left to ruin.
