The self-paced tour was informative and entertaining, but overall it was not worth the cost with the current closures.

I have been several times and had grandchildren visiting from south wales. Half of the attraction closed. I cant believe they are still charging full price. Inly stayed for 2.5 hours as there was nothing much to see. At a cost of £172 for the family this wasnt worth it spend your money elsewhere until they open it all.
We were doing tjis before travelling home so unable to do anything else. Avoid for the time being

Very poor. Used to be great. Much more is closed than the website implies. It took us two hours last time and this time about an hour at best, spinning out with the shop. My kids were really very disappointed. Ride was also broken but we can’t return next week as we live miles away and came especially

Me and my partner both have Merlin passes so decided to book this up as a day out whilst we were in the area. As we scanned our tickets the woman at the desk informed us that it will seem shorter due to renovations, she said that they have transferred a lot of it to the outside. We started the tour by going through a very tacky rain forest with little to no information, we then sat through a couple of videos that must have been filmed in the 1980s. The whole thing just seemed very tatty and boring. We then walked through to the outside area where we were asked to show our tickets, despite other couples not being asked. The only way I can describe the outside area was what I would have imagine the fake Lapland in the UK to look like. It was full of pop up white tents. We went into what we thought would be a ride, only to be told that it was being renovated and we were given a voucher to return in 2025. We went into a 4D cinema that had motion chairs, the film but the most boring and uninspiring movie I have ever seen, god knows how long ago it was made. It was a very childish cartoon. We went into the Cadburys shop that was a pop up tent and freezing cold. After this, we were looking forward to having a nice free cup of melted chocolate as described on the internet. We were asked if we wanted to write our names in squeeze chocolate on the table. After this, we were expecting a nice cup of chocolate, instead we were given a small bag of chocolate buttons. The only good thing about this tour was getting around 8 free chocolate bars. I was glad this was part of our Merlin passes because we would have been asking for our money back if we had paid full price. To say it was embarrassing would be a complete understatement. You don’t see any part of the factories or the actual making of the chocolate. It was the most lame and tacky place I have ever visited. For a tour that was supposed to take 2-3hours, took us 40minutes.

We visited as a family of 4 on Saturday and whilst we had fun as a family and our daughters (7 and 4), enjoyed themselves; I personally was disappointed with the place.
Having visited numerous times when I was a kid, I was most excited about showing our girls the production line. (Many reviews on here say similar!). That for me was the BEST bit!!! Im told that this is due to food regulations, BUT…. There would be ways of allowing the public to see part of the process I.e. full height glazed screens would prevent containments, right Mr Cadbury? (I did hear that maybe Cadbury doesn’t want their secrets to be shared with competition, but I’m guessing fitting the latest technology within the fabric of this old (but beautiful buildings), would be a constraint and maybe there is another reason?
The attractions that you can see, are very mediocre! I remember having the small glass of the chilli chocolate in the Aztec zone as a child. This doesn’t happen anymore!
I feel Cadbury need to review their offering and improve.
I’m glad we used our Tesco Clubcard points and didn’t pay for our entry!!!

As we are no longer part of Cadbury we do not have access into the existing Cadbury building, we do advertise in all our literature that Cadbury World is not a factory tour; instead you discover the history, the making and the magic of Cadbury confectionery. Not bad but not great either... Firstly I want to strat by saying all staff where lovely and very helpful and chatty almost every single one wished my daughter happy birthday (she was wearing a badge) and she couldn't believe it lol . The parts that was open where good and the kids enjoyed themselves which is the important thing however, I booked my tickets thru a third party as I got vouchers from work so I wasn't aware that half of the place is actually being renovated yet you don't get any money off and I'm guessing the 1 bag of buttons each is what you get to make up for it . The play park outside was closed , the make your own chocolate bit was closed, half the advertising bit was closed and the shop was also closed with a temporary one open in a marquee outside which is very cramped and limited for space you have to pick up what you want as you walk by it as there is no option to walk back on yourself because it's just to crowded and the que goes all the way round the Isles. You do get 4 chocolate bars each as you go around but given those same bars are available at 10 for £6 in the shop as a family of 4 who paid £89 for entry we got £9.60 worth of free chocolate between us and that's with half the attraction being closed at the moment. It is an awful lot of money for what you get we went in for doors opening 9:30 and by 11 we had done it all. I had also pre ordered a personalised birthday chocolate which when we went to collect had been missed off the list I'm guessing, so we had to go wait in the cafe for this to be done and brought to us which resulted in me paying an extra £17 for 2 freakshakes and a latte the kids loved the freakshakes but my latte was not worth £5.95 was a poor quality latte and I'm guessing you pay for the Whipped cream and chocolate freedo on the top of it. You could of atleats thrown in another free chocolate bar for the birthday girl as a sorry. So £112 down for 1hr 30 mins of fun and £9.60 worth of "free" chocolate, plus 3 drinks that I was pressured to purchase because I had to wait for something that I'd paid for that you'd forgotten ( just to add I went to reception between doing the indoor & outdoor bit and was told come back when your done you don't want to carry it round with you ??

Genuinely felt ripped off. The tour contains 2 videos and a ride. Completed it in 25 mins making it almost a £1 per minute per person.
The videos haven’t been updated in approx 20 years but the ride is new. Much less crazy than the old chocolate been one and pretty fun (7 years but old boy really enjoyed it).
No walking about the factory - this is what I wanted to really see. You’re visiting a chocolate factory, at least let us see it!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. As we no longer have access into the existing Cadbury building we do advertise in all our literature that Cadbury World is not a factory tour; instead you discover the history, the making and the magic of Cadbury confectionery. The Cadbury World visitor centre was set up because, for reasons of safety and food hygiene, Cadbury was no longer able to take the general public through the factory. This year we have added a brand new ride, Cadbury Chocolate Quest where you can jump aboard a Cadbury car and work as a team to zap up the ingredients needed to make a Cadbury Dairy Milk. As well as this, we have also revamped our Have A Go zone and Bournville Experience, which can be found located around the back of the building, next to the play area, however we always welcome feedback and would like to thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Overpriced for what it is. Very disorganised, overcrowded and families who push in front in queues.
I really wish I took the advise from previous reviews and not wasted 1hr 30mins driving, to spends majority of our time standing in queues. I felt like there wasn’t much to do or see. The children’s climbing area looked more fun than the experience itself.
Bring your own food as the cafe was well overpriced.

Not worth going at this time. I've never been before and was looking forward to taking my 3 kids to experience the whole, 'wonder of making chocolate and the history of Cadburys'. The whole thing was poorly run, the chocolate making zone was closed as was advertising avenue. Meant to be compensated but got nothing. 4 bars of chocolate given and a bag of buttons. Staff were miserable. Not enough personal interaction was given. They relied heavily on videos and shows which ruined the experience. The playground was awful. This needs investing in. Couldn't take a look around the buildings; I hoped you could see something at least of what it wax like...just utter rubbish and we could literally have been anywhere, it didn't need to be in the heart of where Cadburys used to be. I could have saved a fortune and watched a video on YouTube. What a shame. 100% do not go.

We understand everyone has nostalgic memories from Cadbury World from years ago, you now each receive a free Cadbury chocolate bar at the start of the tour, and then after our new Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride, each guest will also receive another Cadbury chocolate bar to enjoy, due to the current refurbishment we are now offering buttons instead of the melted pot in chocolate making and an additional bar on arrival. We regularly assess the guest experience to make sure we are offering the best day out we can however we always welcome feedback and would like to thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

This is the 5th year in a row we have been to Cadbury world and sadly the last time. Our tickets alone cost £124 which would be ok if the factory was open as it used to be. They’ve cut so many bits out, we genuinely thought it was a mistake when we’d finished the inside part within 20 minutes. I used to love going around the factory, reading the boards of information and it’s gone. No interactive games area either. No melted chocolate tasting. No abracadabra ride. No theatre show either.
There was a new part where you could temper chocolate and read about the history which was nice don’t get me wrong. But it’s not a patch on how it used to be.
The shop used to be quite reasonably priced too, but this year I found it wasn’t much cheaper than you’d buy in Asda etc.
please don’t waste your money by coming here. We wouldn’t have came had we have known it was being refurbished and I’m sure there was no mention of this on their website. They should reduce their ticket prices because of this in my opinion.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. We do advertise on our website that From 2nd September until 9th December 2024, our Chocolate Making zone will be temporarily closed, and the Chocolate Demonstration will move to the Have A Go zone. Part of Advertising Avenue (including the gorilla set) remains closed. All of our other chocolatey zones remain open as usual. As Cadbury World is an independent business and stands alone from Cadbury our ordering system is the same as the supermarkets and not direct from the factory so we do incur exactly the same distribution costs as other businesses. We do everything possible to maintain competitive prices and to achieve this we regularly price check other stores. If we do find that we are offering uncompetitive prices we try to correct this immediately. However, due to the increasingly competitive marketplace in the High Street stores it is impossible to guarantee that our prices will be lower however we always welcome feedback and would like to thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Can I drive and park my campervan into Cadburys World for the day visit?
I understand it is free to park. Our van is allowed to drive in the clean air zone according to the online checks which we have done.

There was a lot of work going on at Cadbury World when we visited last month and quite a few parking spaces were taken up by this but I can't remember going underneath any height restrictions. I would contact Cadbury World if you. Not sure if this is of help

Are there any other attractions that we could combine with our visit to Cadbury World?
I've been promising my children a trip here for years but it's 3 hours from where we live so would like to make a weekend of it. My children are 13, 12, 11 and 6 and we don't mind driving to get to other places.

We'll be traveling via train and will have luggage to get to our next destination. Is there anywhere you can recommend we drop our luggage off that's near Cadbury World? Our train drops us off at Bourneville station.

If you have kids I would say the indoor self guided tour would take roughly 2 hours. There is a few things you can get involved in. There is also an outdoor play area for the children and a 4D show. Near the play area there is sometimes an indoor show with Freddo, and sometimes you can have a photo opportunity with the Characters. All in all if you want to be finished by lunch time go for the earliest slot. Have fun.. :)

Can anyone please advise on the way to download digital copies of the photos taken in Green Screen room in Cadbury world? I have the qr code with me but have misplaced the instructions. Thanks in advance

1. Open Camera 2. Point the camera at the QR code for a few seconds 3. Click the website link on screen 4. View your amazing photos. :)
