Love this place, its a hidden gem, fantastic stage, lovely drinks, lovely bar staff, only thing missing is I personally think it needs better advertising, if you were on the bus or travelling through you might not know it was there, needs signposting and better advertising campaign online. Lets keep this awesome place alive for the rockers amongst us;) xx

Being only a small venue it is a good place 2 see bands as the atmosphere is brilliant especially when tribute bands are on! Saw a UB40 tribute a couple of weeks back & it was a fantastic night!! Most tribute bands "sell out" so always book in advance!! Well recommended by me 4 a gr8 nite out.

Fair priced tickets for events and cheap alcohol.... what more could you want! Great atmosphere, try to accommodate everyone too. I have a joint condition and can't stand for long periods but if I explain this to them, they try and get me a seat. Overall, great night out!

I literally come here all the time. The place is amazing. Staff (Julie behind the bar) and Zoe the owner, are really friendly and welcoming. I have seen many many bands perform here and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best small music venue in Birmingham. Cheap drinks, cheap entry on the door, and absolutely no trouble. I have been coming here for years and not once have I seen so much as an argument. I well recommend this to everyone. This venue hosts open mic nights, tribute bands, and also holds music competitions and burlesque events. You would be a fool not to check it out.

The most bizarre place, set in a warehouse type building on what looks like a small indipustrial estate by the canal in Stirchley. It has regular live music, tribute bands, open mike nights and so on. It has a separate bar area where you can lounge on old sofas, and standing bar with pool tables and a screened room with the music in and generally costs 5-10 quid to enter, although you can hear the music from the bar if you don't need the visuals. Beer is good and cheap, it is a favorite of the biker community, and the age range spans generations. The bar tenders are attentive and welcoming and the beer is good and cheap. If you live in the area, you'd be daft not to check the website for band listings and get a small group of friends together and go and try it.

A gem of an establishment for anyone who enjoys seeing live music. They showcase a variety of original, tribute, cover and up and coming bands in a fantastic venue. They have several rooms where you cat sit and chill, or stand and chat, or in the main main, bop till you drop.
Not the easiest place to find in some ways as it is literally canal-side, tucked away down a slope off Lifford Lane, with a door way that doesn't have bright lights. But none of that should put you off because once you are inside, the ambiance is welcoming, the staff are friendly and efficient and the clientele are eclectic. The sound is always good and having been many times, don't think I have ever had a bad night there. Keep an eye on the listings on the website as they have some real gems. When it's tribute or cover bands, they go for quality, so you'll hear the tunes you know and love done by the better bands in that category.
Finally, if you're thinking of having a private party, then they do that too. And it really is a place to party.
Sad to see the demise of many venues, so often due to new residential developments where people move into an area next to a music venue and then seem somewhat surprised. Hope that never happens here. The surroundings aren't beautiful (so that will hopefully prevent it) but there in the middle is this real gem.
