This is inside the Windsor Castle complex and is one of the many sights that you can see while you are there. Entry is via a purchased ticket into the complex. The ticket is good for a year so if you plan on returning at any time in the next 365 days get the stamp it only took a couple of minutes. The chapel is “down the hill” in the Lower Ward area. It is hard to miss as it is an impressive, imposing structure. No pictures are allowed inside parts of the chapel but that leaves the visitor plenty of area to take pictures outside the buildings on the grounds. Entry is through a clearly marked area off the walkway. You are guided through a specific path to see all the different parts of the church. It is breathtaking with its impressive architecture and gorgeous large stained glass areas. There is an audio tour that is included that I highly recommend and will give you a lot of information necessary to understand the history and context of what you are seeing throughout the various parts. This is a working church so access may be limited but they invite the public to participate if you are present. There is a lot to see throughout the building due to its long history and association with the monarchy. This is a must-see for anyone visiting the area!

Great place to visit lots of history and it was good to pay are respects to the Queen and was able to walk past her grave I also like that as we entered the chapel the people in front of us was wearing caps and got told to take them off to show respect which I thought was a brilliant tradition .

It's an amazing chapel that is full of Royal links, be it marriages or burials. It's a shame to not be able to take photos in at least a couple of areas but that doesn't stop it being a superb place to visit

Durante la visita al castello, abbiamo visitato quest'altra attrazione che si trova all'interno dello splendido parco.
C'è molta fila per entrare e durante la visita, consiglio vivamente l'audio guida che viene fornita all'ingresso del castello perché le spiegazioni di ciò che si trova al suo interno sono chiare ed esaustive, e permettono di comprenderne la storia.
È anche possibile chiedere spiegazioni al personale al suo interno, preparato e molto disponibile a fornirle.
Da vedere senz'altro!

Amazing to see this beautiful chapel. My children (ages 8 and 4) were fascinated to view the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II but this experience was marred by a rude and grumpy chapel steward called Peggy who scolded us for pausing for literally 10 seconds to take a look. She told them they couldn’t stop and my husband said they are children and are taking a look and she said “frankly I don’t care”. Rude and inhospitable. I realise these people are volunteers but this lady was awful and should not be there in a front line role. Management take note. There is a way to manage crowds of people in a friendly and approachable way, particularly children and this is not it! We will remember this lady for all of the wrong reasons.

De moeite waard om te bekijken. Indrukwekkend. Je moet aansluiten bij de rij om door de Kapel te lopen maar op deze manier kan je alles goed in je opgenemen.

We went in twice on this trip. The second time was as part of our Castle ticket. Very surprised, and yet completely happy to be able to pay my respects to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip and family. I had thought "crypt" and therefore not accessible, but no - a lovely side "chapel."
The route around gives ample time to take in the visuals and the ambiance as well.
On the first time, we went for Evening Prayers. I had hoped an Evensong, but alas, I had read the website wrong. Read carefully if that matters to you. Even though a spoken service, it was fulfilling to take part in a suprisingly intimate space. It put the family funerals in context as well. For my part, I found the service a bit rushed. As a Presbyterian, wI was grappling with the Anglican service a bit. And my not-young eyes struggled with the font in the Psalm book. In all a little hard to keep up, from a worship perspective. But, something I would do again - I'd just come forewarned and better prepared.

We visited the Chapel at Windsor and it was pretty cool. It was crowded and people were queued in, Once inside you were told to keep moving and you followed a path around the perimeter of the church, so there was no wandering around as you saw fit as you can do in most all other churches we visited. Very nice inside but not as ornate as St. Paul's or Westminster, but this is called a chapel, so you should not expect a cathedral. i would say most folks came to see the final resting place of the Queen and Prince Phillip. It was a very plain black marker and there was a separate individual stationed there who instructed any men wearing hats to remove them and to keep moving. Of course, no photographs were allowed inside the chapel, which was very disappointing.

We are not visiting/touring the castle. Please advise where to park and enter for Sunday worship services. Would also appreciate advice on when to queue; would like to attend on December 30th.

Sorry I can't answer your question about parking as I travelled there by train. Maybe there is info on the Castle website.
Re. when to queue for the castle, judging by the comments made by staff managing the queues, it seems fairly inconsistent. We were told that it is busy very early as people come to see an event (maybe changing of the guard?) and that it is busier since Harry and Meghan's wedding. The queue appeared longe when we arrived and we were advise it would be at least an hour but we only waited 20 minutes as it was efficiently managed.

Were there any flowers left from the Royal Wedding? I read that some were given to hospices because they were wilting. Is it worth me visiting in the next couple of days to try to get a glimpse of some? I am a florist so very interested. Many thanks.

Yes, he lies in an underground vault between the choir stalls, together with some other famous royals. His tomb is marked by a stone slab.

We visited yesterday 12 October. You had put on website that you were closing early which was helpful in that we went here first. However no where did you say that you would be tuning the organ. It was appalling - the noise was unbearable and we had to cut our visit short. All the guides we spoke to said they also found it unbearable to work there. Per them this could be done outside visiting times but no one is prepared to pay the extra fee. We had travelled over 100 miles to visit and most visitors travel thousands of miles. This is unacceptable - if you are going to do this in the future I suggest you put it on your website so visitors know before hand. I have waited many years to get the opportunity to visit and was so disappointed.

I would love to visit this place. Next year will mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Princess Charlotte of Wales who tragically died in child birth in November 1817. Do you know if the Royal Crypt (below the Chapel) is ever open to the public? I am guessing not and I appreciate it is a private place of rest for long deceased members of the Royal family. Nevertheless it would be fascinating to visit.

I suspect not.
The crypt is certainly not open routinely. I have been on behind the scenes tours that are run for local residents and whilst we went in some parts of the chapel that are not routinely open to the public like the Edward IV chancery we did not go in the crypt.
