Fantastic canoe tour of the aquaduct with Andy this afternoon. He was so accommodating, taking the time to let our dogs find their sea legs and become confident and relaxed in the boat before setting off over the aquaduct. We felt totally safe as we were guided around large canal boats and other canal users. A great experience all round with Andy being so friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Well worth the money, we were glad to pay just that little bit extra as Andy is so professional. Would definitely recommend this company to all as Andy is happy to make the experience personal according to your needs. He even took the time to take some fantastic photos and videos from great viewpoints, which we wouldn't have had otherwise.

We picked the aquaduct canoe experience & had an incredible time! Such a memorable morning! Being there in the winter meant quiet canal traffic, insanely good views, a tiny group canoeing and lots of time on the water exploring. Andy was a super friendly, knowledgeable guide - we were laughing as much as canoeing. We've kayaked before and Andy was great at showing us how to adapt those skills for canoeing. Andy even took the time to take some amazing pictures, seriously they're so good!
Super easy to book, we did it the day before on the website. Quite long forms came over email but were quick to complete. Definitely worth bringing snacks and water bottles tho, it's a long time out on the water :)
Thank you so much Andy & we'll see you again, will make a specific trip to come back for it!

We canoed over the aqueduct and the Llangollen canal. Andy was a terrific guide. Flexible, patient, knowledgeable. I hope to return to this beautiful area and have Andy guide us. He was great communicating with us before the trip, as we had many questions. Book with confidence.

We had asked Andy for two short days on a river to try and build up our whitewater kayaking skills and confidence after some time away from kayaking. Andy had taken on board the brief well and took us for two excellent days on the Dee, where we progressed our skills enabling us to feel more confident by day two and much more able to run a section of the river. We look forward to coming back for further skills and safety courses. Thank you Andy

There are a number of things that made the canoeing with Ty Nant Outdoors a great experience. Firstly it is a beautiful and interesting place to canoe in with great views, wooded areas and to cap it all the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which is amazing.
Next is the induction and advice you get from Andy the owner.
Finally there are great pubs and cafes to stop at such as the Telford near the Aqueduct and Sian's Cafe In the Garden near the small lifting road bridge.
You should definitely do this.

Fantastic experience, superbly ran by Andy, who understood our needs very well. A very thorough and friendly briefing with useful tips on what to see and do along the way. Kept in touch with us before and during the trip. Can thoroughly recommend.
We were a group of 4 canoes, but this is equally as good for families, couples and groups. Any is very personable and determined that the group will get the best out of the trip. Many thanks Andy, we will be back...

We had a great morning learning to paddleboard on the canal, going through the tunnel and across Chirk viaduct. Andy was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Booking was straightforward and we all enjoyed the 3 hours

Amazing!!!
From the first email to the phone calls to the actual trip staff were so happy and helpful, I cant speak highly enough about the customer service, superb!
We had such a fun time, our guide had great knowledge & was fun, he really involved the children on our tour, the aqueduct was beautiful and for us the weather perfect. the guide kindly took photos of us and shared them with us at the end.
I would only recommend a small bag in the canoe and trainers to be worn.
My son is 12, I wondered if the 3 hour trip may be to long for him, but the guide kept him interested and he shared lots of knowledge with nature, my son had the best time.
