This is a beautiful location to visit however it is very difficult to get to and, in my opinion, totally inaccessible to disabled persons.
Not advisable for children.

Nice drive through to the car park. Very nice pretty adventure walking trail and water fall. Parking 5£. No food stalls.
Please carry water proof clothing/covers. If you are a photographer, don’t forget your tripod. Very cold in winter. Best viewed in spring and summer. Autumn May give you nice colours for your pictures. There are sit down areas with wooden tables and benches.
Steps may be slippery. Take care with your walks. Wear walking boots. Take additional clothing.
Consider arranging half of the group having a snack and looking after your back packs while the other half walk down to see the fall. Taken turns.
You need changing clothes on return. Taking a walking stick may be helpful in certain age groups.

Fantastic Area. Well kept trails and beautiful beautiful views.
The area accommodates so well for all types of visitors. There is a car park which is easy to navigate at the base camp (for those who want to go rambling) and as a couple… we were able to park up, pay for the day and visit two of the four waterfalls in the space of 3 hours. Highly recommend

If you are up for a bit of walk, this would be something you'd enjoy. We did go to four waterfalls car park which cost us £5 (it's best to have cash), we were guided by friendly team to our parking which was hassle free. We walked to Sgwd yr Eira, which was about 35/40 minutes walk. The view was amazing and got to even behind the waterfall for our photos (when we arrived, water levels were quite low). Over all well worth going.

Our wander started off so well. Clean toilet at start of walk and some lovely areas where our dog could have a safe and refreshing paddle. So disappointed when we got to the falls, which after 2 of the hottest days of the year was pretty much a trickle! But it was not the waterfall that saddened and maddened us...it was the mindless actions of some of the previous disgraceful visitors. We could not actually believe what a vile mess they had left.... photos attached. Alcohol cans, dog and I'm guessing child mess covered by discarded towels. Dirty underwear, water bottles and plastic picnic waste. Some other family was actually filling carrier bags of other people's trash to discard appropriately and I combended them on their endeavour and if we had bags we would have assisted. Its such a shame moronic visitors like these do not respect the beauty of the place, the 'leave only footprints' rule and the enjoyment of other people.

I love waterfalls and this one was nothing short of spectacular. We went on a really hot day, but the hike to get there wasn’t too bad in terms of heat as there was a lot of shade. The spray when we stood behind the waterfall was very welcome!
We left from Dinas Rock car park and followed the yellow route which was well signposted and took about an hour each way. It’s steep in parts and fairly rocky so walking boots or similar are a must. As others have said, the rocks get slippy around the waterfall itself, but it never felt unsafe.
One of the things that makes this so special is that you don’t see the waterfall at all until you turn the final bend, very magical.

This location is an excelltn place to visit.
The walk to it is grat, especially as a photographer. However, it can be a little tricky if it is wet underfoot.

I set off from Diana’s Rock car park on the yellow route (hour each way) but the first way marker only has a red arrow pointing right, so I went left and followed that for 40 minutes before discovering my mistake. I had to climb a VERY steep gorge to rejoin the path at which point I had been walking 45 minutes with another 50 still to go. There are places where you are faced with slippy stones, uneven surfaces, tree roots and other trip, hazards so be careful. The waterfall, though busy, is gorgeous.

I’ll be honest my fitness level is not what it was in my 30s, I’m carrying some extra insulation now in my 40s nearly 50s. We ( 2 adults 3 teens) set off at a good pace reaching marker 11 in 20 mins feeling thankful we had worn walking boots although lots of people in trainers and sandals! We turned left at marker 11 and headed for the water fall taking us another 20 to the uneven, muddy, wet steep 170 STEPS! Take it easy as you go and it wasn’t toooo bad.
Waterfall it’s self was busy lots of dogs running free with some owners not keeping them under control which can cause injury when negotiating the rocks to the waterfall.
Now for the walk back! Those steps go at your own pace some of them are quite high. We made it back to marker 11 in a slower pace as it’s up hill and quite steep in places as is the track from marker 11 to 5 lots of benches to take a breather on the way. Extremely glad to seem porta loos meaning car park was steps away.
All,in all hard work but all, walks of life from old to very young all shapes and sizes completed the walk.

We arrived to start our walk to the falls just as it started raining heavily. Thankfully we were able to take refuge in Sgwd Gladys, a bistro in the village for coffee where we later returned for lunch. The approach to the walk was over very slippy rocks and I wondered if it was going to be too difficult for us at aged 70 and 71 but, once we were on our way, we were fine. It took us about 4 hours in all to complete the walk and, thankfully, the stones had dried out for our descent again. The waterfall was wonderful and thrilling being able to walk behind it. I would have liked to have completed the four walks in this area but we were without drinks and food so it wouldn’t have been a good idea to continue. The bistro is well worth a visit if in the area.

Hi. I’m visiting the area with my two children in October half term. I know the weather is unpredictable at this time, but do you think this would be suitable for a 3 and 5 year old? (We are used to walking/hiking) how far/much incline from the carpark to the falls? Thanks. X

The paths are reasonably good, so I believe you could use a buggy for the 3 year old. The inclines are not steep. It took us about 40 minutes to walk to the falls at a leisurely pace with a few stops to take photos.
Enjoy your trip.

It’s Cf44 9je
Although the satnav stops in the middle of nowhere continue on the road and you will see signs to the waterfall car park

Hi Phyllis, Postcode we used was CF44 9JF, this is the nearest postcode available as the car park itself does not have one, it is fairly easy to find from there though.
Have a great time it is truly stunning whatever the weather.
