This was an easy bus ride from Cardiff city center to Black Lion, then a quick walk to the cathedral. Stunning architecture inside and out. If you’re lucky the organist will be practicing and you can sit and enjoy the beautiful acoustics they have. It just felt very peaceful inside and I sat for a while and just took it all in. lovely little town as well.

This is a beautiful Cathedral and contains a great deal of history starting from the 1100s to present day. Worth a visit and it's free.

Cute little cathedral in a quiet part of town. Well maintained grounds and staff were welcoming upon arrival. Like how the surrounding ground are in keeping with the local setting. Stunning internal architecture and beautiful displays throughout the building.

It's a couple of miles from the centre of Cardiff and I walked there through Bute Park and the fields beyond which was a lovely route and eventually you emerge from some woods and there is the cathedral. Well worth the walk.
It's smaller than many cathedrals but no less impressive. The modern sculpture in the central aisle is a key feature and you'll decide if you like it or not... I did.
Just a short walk on the road and you can catch a bus back into Cardiff.

A surprise. We didn't really know about this cathedral but it is a gem packed with interesting features and sculptures. Next to the cathedral is a small park with a walk down to the river.

I went to a carol service and performed with my primary school in the choir. The Cathedral was so big and very pretty. I really enjoyed it and it made me feel very Christmassy. Would love to go back and sing there again.

A really lovely cathedral where the history evolves from Norman through to late 20th Century. We really loved the modern arch with Christ the Redeemer inviting people to prayer. The new organ is a triumph of modern design and workmanship. It fits in so beautifully and yet is unashamedly modern. I was also taken with the Welsh Regiment chapel. All in all, a lovely visit.

Would 100% recommend - we went for the kings celebration a few weeks back and the architechture on the building is like nothing else in the area - also some cute little cafes and shops close

Wonderful cathedral. Real mix of modern and historic features. Also need to have a walk up to the Cathedral green. Wonderful houses, war memorial and a very peaceful garden. Aid in the area a must visit

I'd like to visit with my mum who is in a wheelchair. Do you think the cathedral is suitable?

Thanks for your question. The Cathedral has some wheelchair accessibility. Most parts of the Cathedral can be accessed easily enough but some parts require the assistance of a member of staff. Just ask a verger and they'll happy to help!
