Great area to stay in as well as go out in during the day and at night, where most of decent nightlife is nowadays.

The Cathedral Quarter is a centrally located heritage area of Belfast, now super popular for its dining, bars & live entertainment.
We visited on. Cool Saturday night to see some live music and it was just humming with people everywhere.
Vibe seemed pretty good but I’m not sure I’d want to be hanging out here later in the evening.

An area of Pubs & Bars which is the main tourist location for Belfast, as well as for a night out. Worth a walk round and a few drinks if in Belfast.

Visited Belfast for a friends 40th. A group of 14 with ages ranging from 32 to 76. Stayed in central apartments handy for everything. Plenty of variety for everybody, including entertainment, shopping and site seeing. Very friendly,helpful people. Felt very safe

As I understand it, this is a party quarter. If you don't want to drink or spend time in loud bars in the evening, I think it's still worth of stopping by for the quarter's aesthetics and decorations during the day.

When you come to Belfast ,please make the effort to walk around and enjoy the charm and warmth that the Cathedral Quarter gives you. There are pubs ,restaurants that would entice you to enjoy the cuisine or Guinness that is waiting for you.

We enjoyed our time in the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast. We visited as part of our walking tour. The cathedral itself is stunning. Well worth a look when in the area.

Fantastic variety of bars, restaurants and shops. Stayed in a nearby hotel and walked to the cathedral quarter. You wont be disappointed.

Hi my husband and I are looking at booking a weekend in Belfast for 2 weeks time. it will be our first visit where is the best place to stay? we want to visit the titanic museum and maybe a do a bit off shopping. Don't mind walking during the day but would prefer the hotel to be close to the bars and restaurants so not having to walk far at night. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My wife and I recently stayed at the AC Hotel Belfast (part of the Marriott chain) while visiting friends in the area. The hotel is located next to the harbor and the Titanic museum. There is a beautiful view (ask for the harbor view) from our Seventh floor room and the room was exceptionally quiet. Below is a brand new boardwalk area perfect for walking to nearby attractions. The Titanic Museum gives a great understanding of how much work went into making such a fabulous vessel.

Yep bars are busy enough. Some live music around. Probably best to try the thirsty goat or dirty onion. Also the Spaniard but it can get very crowded.
