I was bought a hat from the Han shop as a present but it was too small. The shop flatly refused to exchange it which was really mean.
When I looked on the label I discovered it was acrylic and made in China - shouldn’t be allowed to be sold in a ‘craft’ setting.

Such a great idea - a collective of artists all working together, taking turns to run the shops. Wonderful collection of unusual gifts - including the best sort (gifts for me!) Loved the fact that the team had an in depth product knowledge of items on sale - with an obvious enthusiasm and love of what they do. Will definitely be back.

Terrible products , bought while visiting derry , have been assured by trusted friend , that the glass is inferior glass that can easily be bought in bulk . Over priced garbage . Definitely a tourist trap . Avoid at all costs

I found a coffee place, an art gallery and a local gift shop. We went through it in 30 minutes. It’s nice enough, but, not at all what I expected. I kept thinking there must be more, but, there was not.

What a little gem of a place!! If you love and appreciate artisan crafts ...you live this place. It's situated inside the Derry walls and we accessed it from Shipquay Street.
Lots of little shops with crafts which are made locally...really friendly shop keepers and 'the cottage' is perfect - offering an array of delights when a snake is called for. We stayed at an airbnb above one of the shops ...so feel sure I may not have stumbled across the place otherwise

Found The Craft Village pretty much closed up, with little or nothing happening on Easter Monday just gone. There was however one fabulous smelling craft shop called Derry Designer Makers that was open. The shop is co-op of all local arts and crafts people. Some absolutely stunning local work at very affordable prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Paseando por el centro de Londonderry se puede visitar esta zona de pequeños edificios de ladrillo rojo, con pequeñas tiendas de artesanía y cafés agradables.

small shops, a great way to support local business, local crafts and pretty place to be. very friendly people. one shop is a cooperative for local artists. affordable gifts and cards.

Stumbled across Derry Craft Village as there us absolutely no sign posts or signage indicating its in the heart of Derry. 90% of the shops were closed. On a week day. Only the actual craft shops were open, the warmest welcome we received was at Derry Designer maker's, who were friendly and very informative. They are a co-op and all items in the shop are from local crafts folks. Prices very reasonable. When we inquired as to why most of the shops were closed, they couldn't tell us,but did indicate that lack of footfall in the village may contribute it this. Such a pity, as the potential for putting Derry in the limelight with crafts is fabulous. Highly recommend visiting Derry Designer Makers....
