Our tour and experience with Mike was fantastic! His knowledge and gin puns were gincredible. Would highly recommend doing a tour at Edinburgh gin distillery. We will definitely be back!

Great experience, equal parts informative and entertaining. Mike was our host and he was great! Really interesting to hear all about the distilling process and tasting different gins. I have done other gin experiences but this one was far more engaging and intimate with time spent to discuss the gins rather than give you a drink and send you on your way. Would definitely come back to do the experience again once the new location is set up! Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time on the tour with my friend today, Shannon was our guide and she was superb, perfect balance of entertaining and informative. The tasting was great, well structured. I've been to a few distillery tours and this ranks highly, whereas my friend hasn't done a distillery experience before but she thoroughly enjoyed and followed everything easily. Thanks everyone!

We had a fantastic time sampling some of Edinburgh Gins existing and newly created gin along with a potted history of the spirit itself. Although we have been on gin tours in the past we still learned some new facts on this trip.
We were Intrigued by the gin dispensing cats!
A lovely venue, although we were told they are relocating to a bigger venue in October 2023 with the official opening including a roof top terrace in January 2024
We'll just have to revisit Edinburgh for another tour next year!!

We done the gin tasting experience. Lasted just over an hour and we tried a selection of gin as stated in the description on the website. It really did exceed our expectations. We were very lucky to be in a small group (only 4 people) and I feel this helped to make the experience better for us as we had time to chat to the other people and the host. Our host Conor (yes only one n, he insisted!) was great very informative and the information we got was really interesting. I couldn’t recommend this enough, even if you’re not massively into gin and just like a drink- it’s still a great experience!

We had the most wonderful time at Edinburgh Gin! Had been looking forward to it since booking our holiday but never expected to have nearly such a brilliant afternoon! What a giggle! Every single member of staff we met were so passionate and welcoming! The lovely Ian greeted us and made us feel like we were already friends and there are no words for Mike’s awesomeness! Funny chap with endless puns, one might even call him a Ginius;) Honestly think everyone on the tour felt like we’d been mates for years !! Couldn’t Recommend more! Thank you so much !!❤️❤️❤️

We visited the distillery for a tasting experience as part of a hen weekend. Emily was a lovely host and the tour was fantastic! We really enjoyed trying all the gins and I especially loved the Valentine's gin at the end! The tour teaches you about the gin making process and shows you the stills. Afterwards, you get to try 3 different gins, 2 gin liqueurs and have a wonderful mixed drink at the end whilst relaxing in one of their booths. Highly recommend!
The gift shop was also very tiny and cute and had a lovely selection of gins, chocolates, tea towels, etc.

A really great experience!
A mix of informative and funny with lots of gin to try.
We saw the small distillery room and then sampled the gin which was lovely.
I think our guide was called Mike (can’t remember sorry!) he was very passionate and entertaining!

Does anyone know if the tours are still being carried out in groups when they reopen or are they separate because of corona. I’m a bit worried about being put in a group at the moment.

Hello, I'm interested in booking a Gin Connoisseur Tour for one person either on 22nd or 23rd of January, depending the information you'd kindly provide here. I'm wondering that when does the tour start, is there different period of time of a day and could we choose when if there's so? Finally, how long is the duration of the tour? (I'll be traveling from NewCastle at noon so try to see if I could arrange the tour before it close while still enjoy my time there. )

All cancellations go back onto the website straight away, which means we don't offer a cancellation list. They are a little hard to predict, but it's good to keep an eye on there just in case something frees up.

Hello,
The entrance is on the corner of Rutland Place (not Rutland street) and Shandwick place. It is often best if walking from Haymarket to walk up Shandwick place keeping on the right hand side of the road. You will see a converted church pub/bar called Ghillie Dhu and we are next to this, with the entrance just on the left leading underground.

We have very limited back of house space, but if you arrive 5-10mins before your tour we should be able to find a suitable place to leave your items for the duration of your visit.

Yes we have a very small distillery shop which is open every day from 10am until 4.30pm. You don't have to have done a tour to drop in.
