The best ever

We did the Loch Ness /The Highlands followed by Loch Lomond/Stirling Castle on two consecutive days. The Scenery, hidden gems and knowledge /history of the places we visited were second to none. We actually didn't want to leave Scotland and I wanted to take the tour guide home with me!!
Those two days made our top pick of our holiday, we had the same tour guide on both days and all that's left to say - "BILLY, you are our hero and a LEGEND".

An ode to Billy

I did the Loch Lomond/Stirling Castle day tour and let me just say, I would give my left arm for Billy, our tour guide. My pal and I were head-in-hands hungover for the tour and Billy went above and beyond to make sure we were still having a good time - which he was EXTREMELY successful at. The views were amazing, the jokes were corny, and the bagpipe rendition of “Chasing Cars” Billy played over the stereo was a spiritual experience. He even made sure we would get to see some highland cows up close and personal after I asked if there was any possibility of seeing some at all. I will forever cherish our pictures with him holding the Scottish flag at one of the tour stops. I highly recommend this trip to anyone, and I can personally confirm it’s worth it even if you are debating all of your life choices from the night before. I consider this the highlight of our trip to Scotland, thank you for a fantastic day on the Loch.

From the cruise port was an amazing day of sights, food and commentary for our great tour guide Colin. Highly recommend Discover Scotland tours!

Fantastic Day Tour

Our first ever coach tour. We were not at all disappointed. Everything went like clockwork. From the cheerful and warm greeting to the drop off at the end (exactly on time as well). The tour was just right for us newbies. Plenty to see and do and you are left alone and not driven towards any particular shops etc. The itinerary was exactly as described on the booking site. Michael was a star throughout the whole tour. From his knowledge to amusing comments and ability to engage at all levels. Each stop was explained in enough detail to make informed choices. The tour size is just right and felt more like a family outing than an organised trip (we were lucky with the other passengers who seemed determined to enjoy the day) The coach is superb, comfortable and the windows are ideal for mobile scenery gawping. Discover Scotland seem to have the right mix here, the tour is relaxing yet informative and a pleasant way to spend the day. Now we have the taste we will certainly be booking again with Discover Scotland. Thanks for a memorable and enjoyable introduction to coach touring.

Fantastic Tour!

This tour was really wonderful! It was great being with a smaller group and getting to know everyone over the three days, and the sites we visited were gorgeous and interesting historically. Our B&B on Skye was lovely, and the proprietor was very attentive. She took great care of us since we were with Discover Scotland and told us about how much she enjoys everyone who works for the company.

Our guide/driver John was wonderful, he had a great sense of humor and shared so much information with us about Scotland and the history of the Highlands. He really took every opportunity to share more with us about Scottish history and culture. At one point, I jokingly asked him (because we were listening to a Scottish cover of an Australian song) if there was a cover of an American song, and he ended up telling us about a Highlands folk dance called America and the history behind it, and played us a song about it. I mean, it doesn't get more impressive than that!

The Best Tour Guide

This tour was perfect for maximizing the sites of the Highlands within a few days. In the future, I hope to always have a tour guide like Stuart, who trekked us high and low to give us the best experience. You can tell he really cares about his group and loves his job, and there is truly no one better than him to do it. I can’t wait for my next trip, and I hope I will have a tour guide just as good next time!

3-day tour to the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye.

A 3-day tour to the Highlands and the Isle of Skye exceeded expectations. Our guide (Billy), was exceptional. He was an excellent driver. He provided an accurate, historical overview of the places we drove through and those we visited. He was courteous, mindful to take breaks before anyone required them, knowledgable, and helpful. I will be back to Scotland and intend to use DiscoverScotlandTours again. Oh, and the kilt added a bit of authenticity.

Great trip to Skye and the highlands

My daughter and I took this 3 day tour and it was a wonderful experience. Our driver/guide was Stuart and he was excellent. He could explain so much of the geography and history of all the areas that we visited. He also told a lot of little tidbits of local lore which made the trip even more fun. We requested that the company chose a B&B for us on Skye and it was a delight. The tour gave us plenty of time at all the stops to take lots of pictures, go shopping, grab a bit to eat and just enjoy the area. Excellent company and experience.

A great way to experience Scotland in one day!!

Billy was our Highland Loch Ness Tour guide. We really enjoyed his commentary and learned a lot about the area. We especially enjoyed his sense of humor and music choices. Billy also made sure to keep us on schedule but was also flexible if we needed a bit longer. We highly recommend him as your tour guide.
